Job Summary
Pentair is seeking a Molding Set Up Technician to join their Delavan, WI team. This role involves setting up, processing, and assisting in operating injection molding equipment, inspecting features for quality, making machine adjustments, and changing tooling. Responsibilities include operating and monitoring machines, verifying production processes, performing start-up and shut-down procedures, troubleshooting injection molding processes, maintaining robotic/automation systems, and conducting visual and precision quality checks.
Must Have
- Operate and monitor machines to ensure performance meets cycle time rates and specifications
- Verify production processes against standard documentation, including all support equipment
- Perform machine start-up and shut-down procedures, ensuring cleanliness
- Set up and troubleshoot injection molding processes, including mold installation/removal, material purging, control settings, and auxiliary equipment installation
- Load programs and maintain robotic/automation systems, including installing or repairing End of Arm Tools (EOAT) and troubleshooting errors
- Inspect parts visually and assist with quality checks, interpreting blueprints and using precision measurement tools
- Communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams
- 3-5 years of experience working in a technical role in an Injection Molding environment
- High school diploma or equivalent

We have an opportunity for a Molding Set Up Technician to join our team. You will set up, process and assist in operating injection molding equipment, help inspect injection molding features to maintain quality, make any machine adjustments necessary, and change tooling as needed.
You will:
- Operate and monitor machines to ensure performance meets cycle time rates and specifications, while maintaining accurate documentation logs.
- Verify production processes against standard documentation, including all support equipment (dryers, welders, drills, grinders, etc.).
- Perform machine start-up and shut-down procedures, ensuring cleanliness and removal of debris around machines and support equipment after each setup.
- Set up and troubleshoot injection molding processes, including mold installation/removal, material purging, control settings, and auxiliary equipment installation.
- Load programs and maintain robotic/automation systems, including installing or repairing End of Arm Tools (EOAT) and troubleshooting errors.
- Inspect parts visually and assist with quality checks, interpreting blueprints and using precision measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams and perform direct manufacturing operations or other assigned duties as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Have 3-5 years of experience working in a technical role in an Injection Molding environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any injection molding certifications are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, bend, and perform basic motor skills.
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Follow ergonomically correct postures for bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Shift/Hours:
- 6a-2p or 10a-6p
- OT requirements
Compensation:
The hourly pay for this role is: $22.00-$28.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
