The People Experience Advisor 4 at eBay is responsible for responding to and resolving HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, and vendors. This role involves documenting corrective actions, utilizing knowledge bases, assisting new hires with onboarding, and participating in HR projects. Key duties include defining and documenting business processes, driving process improvements, delivering training, facilitating HR transactions, and maintaining accurate employee records in HR systems. The position supports various Centers of Expertise and allows for partial telecommuting.
Must Have:
  • Respond to and resolve HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, and vendors.
  • Utilize Case Management System to record case notes.
  • Help Managers to Document Corrective Council & Conversation Memos.
  • Utilize Knowledge Base system for policy and procedure information.
  • Help new hires prepare to onboard.
  • Participate in People Team-related projects (e.g., continuous improvement, crafting policy documentation) and change management.
  • Process definition and documentation (define and meticulously document the full spectrum of business processes within the HR team).
  • Proactively identify and seize opportunities to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive the implementation of process improvements and monitor their impact.
  • Develop and deliver training to ensure that team members are well-versed in new procedures.
  • Approve and facilitate HR transactions as required by automated workflows and processes HR transactions.
  • Maintain accurate employee-related records and data in HR systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Human Resources, Sociology, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law.
  • Absence Management.

What you will accomplish:

Job Duties: Respond to and resolve HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, Centers of Expertise (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and Learning & Organization Development, Payroll), and Vendors via phone, email, and letter against agreed Service Level Agreements and utilizes Case Management System to record case notes. Help Managers to Document Corrective Council & Conversation Memos for employees. Utilize Knowledge Base system to access standard policy and procedure information while working closely with colleagues, Centers of Expertise, and vendors to resolve more complex issues. Help new hires prepare to onboard. Participate in People Team-related projects (e.g., continuous improvement, crafting policy documentation) and change management. Process definition and documentation (define and meticulously document the full spectrum of business processes within the HR team). Proactively identify and seize opportunities to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness. Drive the implementation of process improvements and monitor their impact. Develop and deliver training to ensure that team members are well-versed in new procedures. Approve and facilitate HR transactions as required by automated workflows and processes HR transactions for employees and managers when the primary self-service channel cannot be used. Maintain accurate employee-related records and data in HR systems (e.g., new hire onboarding, employee separations, leaves of absence, benefits, etc.). Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Human Resources, Sociology, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law;

2. Absence Management;

3. Benefits Administration;

4. Experience conducting New Hire Onboarding, Training and Orientation (4 years);

5. Project Management;

6. Experience using Case Management System (CMS) to support HR queries from employees (3 years);

7. HR Reporting Skills: using data analysis of HR data and metrics to indicate trends and strategize enhancements (4 years);

8. Stakeholder Management (3 years);

9. Change management (2 years);

10. Experience coaching employees and leaders (3 years).

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
