Job Description

As Plant Manager, you will lead the plant to operate and provide quality products and services efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting business targets. Your role involves ensuring optimal plant conditions, safety culture, maximizing capacity, developing strategies for QVC targets, and providing strong leadership and mentoring to employees. You will also be responsible for the P&L of the business unit and lead initiatives for cost reduction and productivity improvement.

  • Operate in an efficient and cost effective manner while meeting company business targets.
  • Establish and ensure the plant operates in optimal conditions and safety culture.
  • Establish and maintain company processes to ensure maximum capacity and resource utilization.
  • Develop strategies to achieve QVC targets.
  • Provide solid, consistent leadership, accountability and mentoring to all employees.
  • Lead the plant’s efforts to develop personnel.
  • Responsible for P&L of the business unit.
  • Lead use of tools to improve business conditions such as: ICIM, Shainin, Lean, Problem Solving.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce cost and increase productivity and delivery.
  • Bachelors in Engineering.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Strong use of Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving tools: ICIM/ Shainin / other.
  • Finance knowledge: P&L, Forecasting, budgets.
  • Coaching and management skills.
  • Flexibility to change: move to other location/ area.
  • Computer systems such as: Microsoft Office, Minitab, SAP are a must.
  • Experience in manufacturing of automotive harnesses.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or other required.
  • Master degree is highly desired.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
