Job Summary
The PreMaster Program at Bosch Rexroth is a two-stage qualification for Bachelor graduates aiming for a Master's degree. The first phase offers up to 12 months of practical experience in the Material Field Purchasing department, providing comprehensive insights into purchasing processes. Responsibilities include planning purchasing strategies, global supplier support, price negotiations, contract management, and driving continuous improvements. The second phase supports independent Master's study with mentorship and opportunities for student employment, fostering dynamic careers in an international environment.
Must Have
- Actively support the purchasing team and gain comprehensive insights into all process steps of purchasing.
- Take responsibility for planning and implementing the purchasing strategy in your material field.
- Globally support suppliers, conduct strategic supplier discussions, price negotiations, and contract management.
- Accompany escalations, lead supplier development programs, and continuously drive improvements.
- Identify and develop ratio projects, and manage and conduct supplier evaluations.
- Above-average completed Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a comparable course of study, with the goal of pursuing a Master's degree.
- Strong analytical skills, goal-oriented thinking, combined with an independent and structured way of working.
- Enjoy communication and negotiations, and be open to occasional business trips.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
- Very good German and English language skills.
Good to Have
- First practical experience, for example in the context of student activities.
- SAP knowledge.

Job Description
Our PreMaster Program is a two-stage qualification program for committed Bachelor graduates who aim to complete a Master's degree. After the Bachelor's, the first phase offers up to 12 months of practical experience to get to know the technical and business contexts. The second phase includes independent Master's studies at a university of your choice. During this period, there are further events and seminars as well as personal support from a mentor on your way to your degree. You also have the opportunity to contribute to the company as a student employee during your studies.
As a participant in our PreMaster Program, you are a member of our Material Field Purchasing department.
- As a PreMaster, you actively support our team and gain comprehensive insights into all process steps of purchasing.
- You take responsibility for planning and implementing the purchasing strategy in your material field.
- Your tasks range from global supplier support, strategic supplier discussions, to planning and conducting price negotiations and contract management. You accompany escalations, lead supplier development programs, and continuously drive improvements.
- It goes without saying that identifying and further developing ratio projects as well as managing and conducting supplier evaluations are also part of your tasks.

Qualifications
- Education: above-average completed degree (Bachelor) in industrial engineering or a comparable course of study and the goal of pursuing a Master's degree
- Personality and working style: strong analytical skills, goal-oriented thinking combined with an independent and structured way of working, enjoyment of communication and negotiations, and occasional business trips
- Experience and know-how: first practical experience - for example in the context of student activities - is a plus, proficient Microsoft Office skills and SAP an advantage
- Languages: very good German and English
