This senior leadership role oversees the media business for a major Consumer Healthcare brand across South East Asia and Taiwan. It involves managing regional activities, collaborating with global and APAC teams, and driving the client's global media agenda. The role requires a strategic and analytical leader passionate about marketing, with a strong background in digital strategy and planning. Key responsibilities include guiding local market teams, providing thought leadership, ensuring client service excellence, and managing various agency teams to foster innovation and growth within an integrated agency model.

Must Have

  • Bring together local market leadership and media teams to deliver on briefed Area priorities, strategies and objectives
  • Guidance and governance of internal and external client deliverables
  • Provide thought leadership across a range of marketing and media topics
  • Internal agency team and external client connectivity – both at a BU level and locally
  • Provide excellence in client service across our SEAT team to our regional, global, and local market clients
  • Drive holistic strategy, strong brief responses, advanced solutions, data-driven initiatives, innovation and full-funnel planning across the SEAT markets through education, guidelines and templates
  • Build marketing collateral in conjunction with the team and client best practice to ensure knowledge, case studies, learnings and best practices are known and actioned in Area and Local markets, understood and shared across the various disciplines and teams
  • Manage Account, Digital Strategy, and Digital Activation teams, and ensuring proper delivery on direct report responsibilities
  • Provide quarterly and annual Performance Reviews
  • Represent SEAT BU interests and perspectives in all relevant meetings, events and communications
  • Provide support to our markets in their various marketing endeavors
  • Hands on team management, mentorship, and support of a direct team of 4 FTE – but with matrixed leadership of team of 15+
  • 10+ years of experience in the advertising industry
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Previous experience in regional / global coordination
  • Previous experience coordinating delivery and process across multiple markets and time zones
  • Experience in creative or production
  • Candidate from local market background if from one of our core markets: Australia, Singapore, Japan, India or China, with regional or global experience

Overview

This Media Business Unit Lead role oversees the South East Asia + Taiwan region, which is a critical senior leadership role that covers overall management of the media business across Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan, for one of the largest and most innovative global Consumer Healthcare brands.

This is a high-visibility Business Unit role, whilst focused on SEAT regional activity, this role will have a strong line to local markets, with a great deal of connection and collaboration with our global and APAC leadership teams. It is an extremely ‘hands-on’ role, with a need to build education, thought leadership and internal and external stakeholder management and servicing, with a significant need to ensure consistent coordination and communication across all supported media channels. This role will be instrumental in driving our client's global media agenda, market maturity and integration transformation for our clients.

The clients are amazing and really care about the mission of their brands and are obsessed about innovating new approaches to support growth. The agency team is comprised of various agencies across the Publicis Groupe, so you get to learn about these agencies and their capabilities and work closely with their teams. In this role, you will be supporting an integrated Power of One agency model and leadership team – as a result, you’ll also have exposure to wider agency and consulting teams – all of whom are working to support this large, global client continue to innovate and evolve in industry-leading ways.

We are looking for someone who is both strategic and analytical, with a passion for marketing and understanding of the human connection between the brand and the customer. We want someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and can execute against a customer-obsessed growth-focused strategic framework. An ideal candidate has a strong history in Digital strategy and planning, and experience in translating complex technical or cutting edge developments into clear, understandable, and actionable guidance to non-Digital nativist marketing teams.

Must have a strong knowledge of holistic media planning & buying across all channels, a demonstrated history of integrating various disparate teams under a unified vision and strategy, and a passion for engaging with different areas of internal and external businesses to drive results for their clients.

Key KPIs

The roles key KPIs involve strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, driving the success or strategy and innovation through various workstreams, meeting and exceeding client's business, marketing and media goals, ensuring a strong reputation through brand safety, quality of media placement and creative development, and representation and creating a strong culture within Publicis team and client alike. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the advertising industry, with media strategy and planning preferred
  • Previous experience in regional / global coordination is preferred, but a good, hands-on understanding of how planning / buying is done locally is essential
  • Previous experience coordinating delivery and process across multiple markets and time zones is preferred, as well as experience in creative or production a large plus
  • Will consider a candidate from local market background if from one of our core markets: Australia, Singapore, Japan, India or China, with regional or global experience preferred
  • Strong media planning/ buying experience, across TV, OOH, Radio, programmatic, paid social, paid search channels, with an understanding of different buying approaches and measurements leveraged for planning and success
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing performance results of campaigns, and ability to translate performance into actionable insights for clients
  • Very strong client and inter-agency relations skills
  • Exceptional and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with MS Teams, Word and Excel, with excellent skills with MS PowerPoint
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree required
