In this role, you’ll be the subject matter expert when it comes to modern day game cheat development and ways to hinder and stop cheats in their tracks. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our game is sufficiently protected and help evaluate various approaches to achieve that goal including, but not limited to, writing custom anti-cheat code, evaluating and integrating off-the-shelf technology, and educating fellow developers.

 

This is a temporary role with an estimated duration of 9 months. 

What you'll do:

  • Develop clear, maintainable and high-performance Anti-Cheat technology
  • Proactively identify and counter game cheat avenues in both Unreal code and our game code
  • Supplement existing off the shelf Anti-Cheat technology

What we need:

  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Knowledge of common game cheat and anti-cheat methods
  • Knowledge of Windows internals and ability to creatively apply your knowledge
  • Experience with securing client/server networked game simulation
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills


Pluses:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Experience with Easy Anti-Cheat
  • Experience with game cheat communities
  • Prior shipped game titles in an Anti-Cheat Engineering or related role
  • Experience developing cheats for games
  • Experience reverse engineering


The base salary range for this position is $116,776 to $194,628 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 3 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
