Join our client’s team as a Senior Medical Editor, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping pharmaceutical marketing, health education, and corporate communications. Your keen eye for detail and command of language will ensure that all materials are polished, precise, and aligned with brand standards and industry regulations. This is a 12-month contract role with potential for extension, operating on a 40-hour work week with weekly pay through Onward Search (W2).

  • Proofread and edit a variety of materials, ensuring accuracy in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Maintain consistency in format and style, enhancing clarity and coherence.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and FDA regulations.
  • Verify the implementation of Medical/Regulatory/Legal feedback.
  • Communicate edits and content queries clearly and concisely.
  • Fact-check medical claims using published sources and create annotated reference documents.
  • Assist with project submissions using the Veeva Vault PromoMats platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, targeted work.
  • Provide editorial leadership, overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  • 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising editing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with advanced editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in AMA 11th Edition style, including accurate citation and referencing.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical advertising and familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Skilled in fact-checking medical and scientific claims using reputable published sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
  • Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat / Microsoft Word for reviewing and annotating documents.

Join our client’s team as a Senior Medical Editor, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping pharmaceutical marketing, health education, and corporate communications. Your keen eye for detail and command of language will ensure that all materials are polished, precise, and aligned with brand standards and industry regulations.

This role operates on a 40-hour work week with weekly pay through Onward Search (W2). Standard work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM CT, with flexibility for a later shift. Occasional weekend work or overtime may be requested.

There is no application deadline for this role.

Senior Medical Editor Responsibilities:

  • Proofread and edit a variety of materials, ensuring accuracy in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Maintain consistency in format and style, enhancing clarity and coherence.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and FDA regulations.
  • Verify the implementation of Medical/Regulatory/Legal feedback.
  • Communicate edits and content queries clearly and concisely.
  • Fact-check medical claims using published sources and create annotated reference documents.
  • Assist with project submissions using the Veeva Vault PromoMats platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, targeted work.
  • Provide editorial leadership, overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  • Participate in kickoff, status, and other relevant meetings.

Senior Medical Editor Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising editing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with advanced editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in AMA 11th Edition style, including accurate citation and referencing.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical advertising and familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Skilled in fact-checking medical and scientific claims using reputable published sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills; proactive and accountable in project ownership.
  • Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat / Microsoft Word for reviewing and annotating documents.
  • Veeva (preferred).
