Moonbug Entertainment is seeking a full-time Senior Music Label Operations Coordinator for their London office. This role involves managing the operational aspects of music releases, including asset and metadata management, workflow optimization, and tracking copyright and trademark usage across music platforms. The coordinator will lead daily label operations, plan and execute releases, and develop processes to enhance team effectiveness, working with major family entertainment brands like CoComelon and Blippi.

Must Have:
  • Manage release schedules and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of music.
  • Oversee delivery of new music assets and lead quality control of metadata.
  • Develop and implement new processes to optimize day-to-day workflow.
  • Manage and maintain the label’s catalogue on internal database.
  • Track usage of copyright across digital platforms and liaise for claims.
  • Monitor for unauthorised trademark use and submit takedown requests.
  • Ensure Moonbug music content is fingerprinted, claimed, and monetized on social media platforms.
  • Proven experience within a record label or music distribution company.
  • In-depth knowledge of music metadata standards and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of music copyright and trademark principles.
  • Experience with rights management systems (e.g., YouTube Content ID).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and G Suite.

The Role

Moonbug is seeking a full-time Senior Label Operations Coordinator to support the Music team. This role is based in our London office in the heart of Camden Town. At Moonbug, you will be working with some of the biggest brands in family entertainment; one of the fastest-growing genres in music. This is an exciting role and opportunity for someone looking to continue progressing and growing their music industry experience.

The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated with a proven track record in a label or music distribution environment with a strong desire to continue learning and developing. You will need to be digitally confident, highly organised, detail-oriented and able to adapt to new challenges.

You will be responsible for the operational aspects of our music releases, from managing music assets and metadata to optimising workflows, as well as tracking and reporting on the usage of our copyright and trademarks across music platforms. You will take a leading role in the day-to-day running of the music label, including planning, execution and the development of new processes to enhance the team’s effectiveness. You will manage the release schedule of our IPs, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Managing release schedules and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of albums, EPs and singles.
  • Oversee the delivery of new music assets to the label team, leading the quality control of metadata in collaboration with the publishing team.
  • Develop and implement new processes to optimise the day-to-day workflow between the music production and label operations teams.
  • Manage and maintain the label’s catalogue on our internal database.
  • Support with the creative and strategic planning of releases, providing input to optimise content on DSPs.
  • Work independently, managing and prioritising multiple high-level projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Track the usage of our copyright across digital platforms and liaise with the relevant legal departments to make claims on unauthorised usage.
  • Monitor for unauthorised use of our trademarks, compiling evidence and submitting takedown requests to the internal legal department.
  • Ensure Moonbug music content is fingerprinted, claimed, and monetized on social media platforms

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within a record label or music distribution company.
  • Experience in managing music release schedules and coordinating asset delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of music metadata standards and best practices.
  • A strong understanding of music copyright and trademark principles.
  • Experience with rights management systems (e.g., YouTube Content ID) and digital rights enforcement.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and G Suite.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • A working understanding of music contracts and licensing.
  • A demonstrable passion for music and the entertainment industry.
  • Understanding of current industry trends.
