Job Description

Starcom, part of Publicis Media, is seeking a Senior Search (SEM) Specialist for its Toronto, Canada office. This hybrid role involves activating and managing SEM campaigns, building new campaigns, ads, and keywords, assisting with spend estimates, performing optimizations based on search data, and completing client reports. The specialist will also supervise and train SEM Coordinators and contribute to client strategy. Candidates need 2+ years of SEM experience, strong data analysis, Excel, PowerPoint, writing, and public speaking skills.
Must Have:
  • Activate and manage SEM campaigns
  • Build new campaigns, ads, and keywords based on client briefs
  • Assist in compiling campaign spend estimates
  • Perform optimizations based on insights from Search data
  • Complete client reports with help from SEM Coordinators
  • Supervise small group of SEM Coordinators
  • Help training of SEM Coordinators
  • Contribute to account and client strategy development
  • Optimize budget pacing, bids and bidding strategies, ads and more
  • Pull data from multiple systems to create PowerPoint and Excel reports
  • Identify opportunities or insights during ongoing accounts from Engine systems and reports
  • Create and update keywords lists, ad copy, landing pages, and ad extensions
  • Assist in providing insight and analysis and perform updates/optimizations to improve performance
  • Oversee the reconciliation of monthly invoices
  • 2 years of agency SEM experience or 2+ years of SEM experience outside of Agency
  • Comfort and strength in data aggregation, manipulation and analysis
  • Strong numerical and computer skills
  • High level of capability in Excel and PPT
  • Good writing skills, for both ad copy writing and to summarize insights in a concise manner
  • Strong public speaking, in order to discuss campaign aspects with clients in meetings

Overview

Qualifications

  • 2 year of agency SEM experience or 2+ years of SEM experience outside of Agency
  • A strong desire to learn and improve own skill set through directing learning
  • Organization in order to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail oriented
  • Comfort and strength in data aggregation, manipulation and analysis
  • Strong numerical and computer skills
  • High level of capability in Excel and PPT
  • Good writing skills, for both ad copy writing and to summarize insights in a concise manner
  • Strong public speaking, in order to discuss campaign aspects with clients in meetings
