Job Summary

As a Senior Staff Application Engineer MCU, you will be the primary technical expert for Infineon's customers and field application engineers on automotive applications utilizing 32-bit microcontrollers. Your role involves providing in-depth support for complex MCU products, addressing general issues, and handling safety and security topics. You will also be responsible for MCU training, efficient problem-solving, and building the MCU ecosystem through collaboration with third-party software and tool partners. Additionally, you will gather local customer MCU requirements and relay them to product line experts at the headquarters, leveraging your 10+ years of experience in MCU development and support.

Must Have

  • Be the go-to-person for Infineon’s customers and field application engineers about automotive applications using 32bit microcontrollers
  • Own the support for general issues and safety & security topics of complex microcontroller products
  • Be an expert of 32bit microcontrollers and take the role in MCU training to partners and peer engineers
  • Support and solve MCU problems from FAE and customers efficiently
  • Work with marketing closely and build up MCU ecosystem by collaborating with 3rd party software and tool partners
  • Collect MCU requirements from local customers and feedback to product line experts in headquarter
  • BS/MS in EE or Computer Science and 10+ years of MCU development/support experience
  • Familiarity with major automotive MCU architecture (Tricore/ARM Cortex R52/RH850/RISC-V)
  • Familiarity with MCU infrastructure (interrupt/bus/power management/NVM/OTA)
  • Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity and functional safety
  • Experience developing embedded MCU code in C and assembly language
  • Experience developing MCU peripheral drivers or examples

Good to Have

  • System development experience of traction inverter/OBC-DCDC/BMS/Zone controller/ADAS domain
  • Experience of MCAL configuration and Autosar development
  • Experience of MCU bootloader development
  • Experience of MCU failure analysis

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • BS/MS in EE or Computer Science and 10+ years of MCU development/support experience
  • Be familiar with major automotive MCU architecture, like Tricore/ARM Cortex R52/RH850/RISC-V and so on
  • Be familiar with MCU infrastructure, like interrupt/bus/power management/NVM/OTA
  • Be familiar with automotive cybersecurity and functional safety
  • Experience of developing embedded MCU code in C and assembly language required
  • Experience of MCU peripheral drivers or examples development required
  • System development experience of traction inverter/OBC-DCDC/BMS/Zone controller/ADAS domain preferred
  • Experience of MCAL configuration and Autosar development is preferred
