Job Description

The DRAM Development Lab (DDL) at Samsung's Memory Business Unit is seeking a Silicon IP Technical Program Manager. This role involves managing all aspects of silicon development, including architecture, design, verification, DFT, and physical implementation. The manager will define project milestones, monitor execution, identify risks, and work with internal and external IP owners to ensure timely delivery. The position requires daily onsite presence in San Jose, California, and focuses on enhancing memory and storage capabilities for emerging machine learning, data analytics, and edge computing applications.
Must have:
  • Manage across all aspects of silicon development including architecture, design, verification, DFT, and physical implementation/design
  • Define project milestones throughout silicon development cycle
  • Monitor project executions across functional teams to ensure timely delivery of each milestones targets
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify risks, dependencies and come up with mitigation plans
  • Work with internal and external IP owners/vendors to set IP delivery schedule and quality requirements, and drive such parties for on time delivery
  • Generate weekly reports for project executions across all functions, identify blocking issues and communicate effectively to management and functional stakeholders
  • Organize meetings and synchronize on the development across multiple international sites
  • BE in Electronics Engineering with 10+ years of program management experience in SoC/FW/IP development projects
  • Experience in setting project milestones and criteria
  • Experience in SoC and/or IP design and verification
  • Experience in projects from planning to post silicon validation
  • Excellent communication across multiple teams handling complex situations
  • Experience in using Jira for project tracking
  • Self-motivated problem-solver with an ability to work well in a team
Good to have:
  • Good at report generation using Jira plugins
  • Familiar with Scrum and Sprint
  • Good knowledge in Emulation and FW developments
  • Knowledge or experience in UCIe and HBM
  • Highly motivated with good verbal and written communication skills

The DRAM Development Lab (DDL) is part of Samsung’s Memory Business Unit, the industry's technology and volume leader in DRAM, HBM and NAND Flash. DDL’s vision is to solve key problems of Cloud & Data center by developing the new technology for memory and storage. The SOC team within DDL focuses on the development of silicon solutions. We are an integral part of Samsung’s strong R&D focus & lab innovation engine. We work closely with development teams to bring feature innovation to product roadmaps.

We are looking for a technical program manager who will manage across all aspects of silicon development including architecture, design, verification, DFT, and physical implementation/design.

  • Work with management to define project milestones throughout silicon development cycle

What You Bring
