Job Description

This Software Internship in Systems Engineering for i.MX at NXP Semiconductors is for a student focused on Computer Science or Electronics. Your team

Looking for a student focused on Computer Science or Electronics, ideally both, which is smart, proactive and willing to peer with our engineers to learn innovative technologies (both hardware and software).

As a i.MX Systems intern, you will work with embedded devices and the software ecosystem around them: Embedded LINUX, Android, RTOSes, Kernel Programming, User Space Programming, etc.

Your Responsibilities

As a i.MX Systems Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced Software Systems Engineers working at System level with real use case from our end customers.

  • Creating application notes, white papers, and user guide documentation
  • Creating demos and reference designs
  • Making technical presentations which showcase platform and technology features
  • Providing excellent customer service and learner support.
  • Play with Linux System and implement real-world use cases.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a curious and entrepreneurial student who:

  • Is passionate about communication, learning, and personal development.
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • To ensure your success in this role, you need to feel comfortable working with Linux. Curious about how it works in embedded. Eager to use an oscilloscope while debugging your software and understand how this works together.
  • If you can answer simple fundamental questions about C/C++, understand how an OS or embedded hardware works or ever done any audio or video apps in Linux which you are able to explain easily your success is guaranteed. Same if you convince that you really, really would like to learn about these.

Contract: 1 year contract, with the possibility of part time working
