Job Description

Located in Elancourt, a major Thales technology center, the TSIS (Tests and Service Infrastructure Solutions) Department within Thales DMS France SAS is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test equipment for product development, production, support teams, and clients. These test systems cover RADAR, ELECTRONIC WARFARE, and COMPUTER product lines designed by DMS France. The primary mission for this role is to ensure the required software engineering activities for these test systems.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of defense systems

Must Have:
  • Define test systems with the test equipment architect, adhering to product policy guidelines.
  • Design the solution to meet client needs and justify design choices.
  • Ensure technical interface with the EDM.
  • Develop and participate in solution integration using Agile methodology.
  • Ensure technical and deadline commitments for assigned activities.
  • Participate in the IVV (Integration, Verification, Validation) of the test bench, in collaboration with the System Engineering Manager.
  • Contribute transversally to software architecture definitions, technical environment choices, and test equipment product policy.
  • Apply the 'adjusted' DDQS (Design, Develop, and Qualify the Solution) process for development.

Your daily life

At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions in defense, high-tech security, and digital services solutions.

Within Thales DMS France SAS, the TSIS (Tests and Service Infrastructure Solutions) Department is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test equipment for Product Development, Production, and Support teams, as well as for clients.

These test systems cover RADAR, ELECTRONIC WARFARE, and COMPUTER product lines designed by the DMS France entity.

In the TSIS Elancourt service, your main mission will be to ensure the required software engineering activities.

Your main missions:

  • Ensure the definition of test systems with the test equipment architect, in compliance with the strategic orientations of the test equipment product policy;
  • Ensure the design of the solution meeting client needs and justify design choices;
  • Guarantee the technical interface with the EDM;
  • Ensure development and participate in the integration of the solution in Agile mode;
  • Ensure technical and deadline commitments for assigned activities;
  • Participate in the IVV (Integration, Verification, Validation) of the test bench, in collaboration with the System Engineering Manager;
  • Transversally contribute to software architecture definitions and choices related to technical environments, as well as to the test equipment product policy;
  • Apply the "adjusted" DDQS (Design, Develop, and Qualify the Solution) process to carry out its development.

With an engineering degree or equivalent, you have acquired solid experience in software development in a complex technical context such as aeronautics or defense.

You have experience in implementing microwave measurement devices as part of test automation.

You have technical knowledge of communication buses, PC, VME architectures and/or Windows, UNIX/LINUX OS.

You enjoy teamwork and are capable of demonstrating autonomy, rigor, and method.

Ideally, you have knowledge of defense systems and the Electronic Warfare (EW) and/or Radar domains.
