Job Description

The Product Manager, AI and Automation will define strategy and drive execution for intelligent automation and AI-driven capabilities within Nasdaq’s Data business. This role involves owning the roadmap from discovery to launch, working with cross-functional teams to prototype and deliver AI-powered solutions that enhance productivity and create measurable impact. The ideal candidate combines product vision with technical depth in modern AI and orchestration, understanding monetization and go-to-market strategies.
Good To Have:
  • Advanced degree (MBA/MS).
  • Data product fundamentals (acquisition, normalization, metadata, lineage, SLAs, entitlements, usage metering, telemetry).
  • Capital markets knowledge (market data, reference data, trading, risk, research).
  • Monetization experience (pricing/packaging for enterprise data, APIs, platforms, or SaaS); ability to build business cases.
Must Have:
  • Define strategy and roadmap for internal workflow automations and client-facing AI-powered solutions.
  • Lead discovery through market and client research; translate insights into clear problem statements, PRDs, and prioritized backlogs.
  • Partner with Technology, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to design, prototype, and launch capabilities.
  • Experiment actively with LLMs, agent-based workflows, and orchestration tools; establish an evaluation framework.
  • Drive go-to-market in partnership with Sales and Marketing; create collateral and enable internal teams.
  • 7+ years of product management experience (or 5+ with strong technical depth) building data platforms, workflow automations, analytics, and/or AI‑powered products.
  • Recent hands‑on AI experience (last 2–3 years) driving solutions with LLMs and related tooling.
  • Familiarity with agent frameworks, RAG, vector search, evaluation techniques, and orchestration tools (e.g., n8n).
  • Familiarity with ML (e.g., classification, regression, deep learning, NLP, GAN, etc).
  • Technical proficiency with Python/SQL, APIs, and cloud (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Spark, Redshift).
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance, or related field.

The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager, AI and Automation to define strategy and drive execution for a portfolio of intelligent automation and AI-driven capabilities across the Data business’s internal operations and client-facing solutions. You will own the roadmap end-to-end - from discovery through launch and scale - and work hands-on with cross-functional teams to prototype, validate, and deliver automation workflows and AI-powered solutions that enhance productivity and create measurable impact. The ideal candidate combines product vision with technical depth in modern AI and orchestration, understands monetization and go-to-market strategies, and thrives in moving seamlessly between strategic planning and tactical execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Define strategy & roadmap for internal workflow automations and client-facing AI‑powered solutions
  • Lead discovery through market and client research; translate insights into clear problem statements, PRDs, and prioritized backlogs.
  • Partner with Technology, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to design, prototype, and launch capabilities across data ingestion, normalization, enrichment, analysis, modeling, cataloging, search/discovery, and AI-driven user experiences.
  • Experiment actively with LLMs, agent-based workflows, and orchestration tools (e.g., n8n) to validate solution approaches quickly; establish an evaluation framework for quality, safety, and performance.
  • Drive go‑to‑market in partnership with Sales and Marketing; create collateral (docs, demos, presentations, white papers) and enable internal teams for successful launches.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of product management experience (or 5+ with strong technical depth) building data platforms, workflow automations, analytics, and/or AI‑powered products.
  • Recent hands‑on AI experience (last 2–3 years) driving solutions with LLMs and related tooling; familiarity with agent frameworks, RAG, vector search, evaluation techniques, and orchestration tools (e.g., n8n); familiarity with ML (e.g., classification, regression, deep learning, NLP, GAN, etc).
  • Technical proficiency to collaborate effectively with engineering and data science: comfortable with concepts in Python/SQL, APIs, and cloud (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Spark, Redshift); able to prototype light workflows or notebooks when needed.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management; proven success leading cross‑functional initiatives with executive visibility.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Data product fundamentals — acquisition, normalization, metadata, lineage, SLAs, entitlements, usage metering, and telemetry.
  • Capital markets knowledge (market data, reference data, trading, risk, research) is a strong plus.
  • Monetization experience — familiarity with pricing/packaging for enterprise data, APIs, platforms, or SaaS is a plus; ability to build business cases and scale successful use cases
