Job Description

This role involves implementing organizational strategies by directing and managing resources, with accountability for business strategies and operational areas. The director will manage and develop a team, set project direction, and contribute to organization-wide initiatives. Key responsibilities include closing sales to meet quotas, managing strategic accounts, generating new business, and maintaining senior-level client relationships. The position requires leadership, execution of business plans, and ensuring compliance, while driving cost-savings and fostering high-performing teams.

  • Execute functional business plans and contribute to functional strategies.
  • Formulate, communicate, and execute functional and organizational policies and practices.
  • Implement and adapt plans to meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Evaluate current business processes and systems, driving cost-savings and risk control.
  • Ensure all work in business unit is compliant with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
  • Review business unit’s performance data to monitor and measure productivity and goal progress.
  • Apply expertise and understanding of competition and industry trends to projects and strategy.
  • Coach and inspire lower-level managers to achieve better performance.
  • Motivate, develop, recruit, and retain employees.
  • Prioritize development of sales, retention, and marketing initiatives.
  • Guide others in executing the business unit’s short- and long-term sales strategy.
  • Interact with customers/prospects within own territory.
  • Be proactive at industry events and conferences for relationship building and new business.
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with customer’s senior management.
  • Take ownership of problem resolution for customer issues.
  • Proactively drive implementation of products and coordinate communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales.
  • At least 12 years of experience.

Responsible and accountable for managing and developing a team of people, setting direction and deploying resources on varying projects, participating in organization-wide projects, while providing guidance and expertise on an as needed basis. Managers are required to understand how other business units operate, how their goals align with organizational goals and have budget and profit/loss responsibility.

Closes sales in order to meet individual/team quotas and company business objectives. Possibly manages existing accounts as part of a larger Account Team or could manage named accounts within a geography for a particular product or product set. Typically have a limited number of key/strategic accounts and maintains relationships with clients at the senior management or executive level. Generates business with new clients as well as generating additional business with existing clients.

  • Reviews and oversees key areas of opportunity in the market. Prioritizes development of sales, retention, and marketing initiatives that support a specific region– ultimately driving revenue and generating business with new clients as well as with existing clients.
  • Guides others in executing the business unit’s short- and long-term sales strategy; interacts with customers/prospects within own territory.
  • Is proactive at industry events and other conferences at building relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Closes deals in order to meet individual/team quotas and company business objectives.
  • Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer’s senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization’s product/service strategies.
  • Takes ownership of problem resolution, if customer issues cannot be solved through normal channels.
  • Proactively drives implementation of products and coordinates communication, maintenance and new development across Nasdaq relevant business units.
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales
  • Experience Required: At least 12 years
