Job Description

We are looking for a Design Office Engineer to join our passionate and committed teams at our Amiens site. You will be responsible for the design and development of products or assemblies entrusted to you, ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments within commercial projects. This involves conducting preliminary studies, acting as the technical representative in project teams, and providing technical support to various departments.

Must Have:
  • Ensure the design and development of products or assemblies according to QCD commitments.
  • Carry out preliminary studies and associated preliminary plans for calls for tenders.
  • Represent the technical department within project teams.
  • Set up the technical file (plans, 3D modeling, calculation notes, test definition).
  • Provide technical support to any department needing product knowledge.
  • Master mechanical construction and reading pneumatic diagrams.
  • Create technical drawings on CATIA 2D and 3D.
  • Proficiency in professional English.

As such, your future responsibilities will be:

Within the "Brake Control" design office, your mission will be to ensure the design and development of the products or assemblies entrusted to you according to QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments, within the framework of commercial projects.

To do this, your missions will be to:

  • Carry out preliminary studies and associated preliminary plans within the framework of calls for tenders.
  • Be the representative of the technical department within the project team.
  • Set up the technical file (plans, 3D modeling, calculation notes, test definition, etc.) within the framework of projects in order to comply with Wabtec's commitments.
  • Provide your support as a technical referent to any department of the company (purchasing, quality, supply chain, etc.) or of the group needing technical knowledge on a product.

What is your profile?

  • Coming from higher education with a mechanical specialization, you master mechanical construction and the reading of pneumatic diagrams.
  • You know how to create technical drawings on CATIA 2D and 3D.
  • Knowledge of RDM calculations and finite elements would be a real plus.
  • You are rigorous and proactive.
  • Passionate about the mechanical field, and curious by nature, you keep abreast of technological innovations.
  • Your creativity will make the difference.
  • You ideally have a first experience in design.
  • Proficiency in professional English is essential.

This position is a permanent contract (CDI), based at our Amiens site (with the possibility of teleworking up to 2 days per week maximum).
