What You’ll Do as a Part of Your Role:
- Update documentation for multiple products, working with the R&D, V&V (QA), customer support, and product management teams to acquire expertise in the relevant products and develop the information necessary for document updates
- Create documentation for new products, including both developing new information and rebranding and repurposing existing information to match different product line style and templates
- Work with the documentation manager to ensure consistent style and format of the documentation
- Manage deadlines and prioritize effectively, in consultation with the documentation manager and the relevant product managers
- Edit documents from other departments for proper English usage, clarity, and conformity to company styles
- Help develop and implement solution for converting Word content to HTML
What does it require from you?
- 2+ years’ experience as a technical writer – a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word – a must
- Mother-tongue English – a must
- Experience with HTML help tools and methodologies – an advantage
- Experience with documenting telecommunication technologies – an advantage
- Experience with radio technology – a significant advantage
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work with multiple subject matter experts and to mediate between diverse inputs when necessary
- “Hands on” personality, strong attention to detail
- Resourcefulness in tracking down information and critical approach to determining and developing the information necessary for customer satisfaction
- Ability to write clear, grammatical, and precise English
- Ability to translate technical details into usable documentation, filtering out unnecessary details
- Strong collaboration skills with multiple departments
- Ability to schedule tasks and plan ahead to meet deadlines and prioritize
- Strong editing skills
