Touring Nanny - Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus

Provide childcare for 1 – 3 children (ages 2 to 5) to keep them safe and clean while organizing creative & educational activities based on their age. Will prepare and/or provide meals as needed. You must love working – and playing – with children and also feel comfortable handling the less appealing tasks, such as changing diapers and tidying up children’s rooms.

Essential Functions

• Organize creative activities and educational games (e.g. drawing, crafting and puppet games)
• Prepare children’s meals and feed them if needed.
• Change diapers and help children wash up as needed
• Schedule nap times.
• Teach children appropriate social behaviors, such as being respectful to each other and helping out with chores.
• Transport children to and from extracurricular activities with parental support / permission.
• Tidy up play areas.
• Ensure children’s safety during indoor and outdoor activities which may including taking care of children in case of injury or illness.
• Work with parents to ensure children’s growth and social development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Nanny or Babysitter.
• Fluent in English language. Bi-lingual a plus.
• A pleasant and patient personality.
• CPR and First Aid certifications. Pediatric CPR training preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to supervise and care for infants and toddlers by providing a safe, secure, nurturing, and positive environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; get down and up from the floor; bend, stoop and twist holding light objects; reach overhead with a light load and walk while supervising children.
• Multitasking skills.
• Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children.
• Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages.
• Ability to travel full-time and willingness to work nights and weekends.

International Touring Personnel

To the extent international touring personnel are visiting a jurisdiction that requires vaccination, proof of vaccination in accordance with the relevant international law should be submitted directly to either the Tour Manager or to Human Resources at least six weeks prior to the start of the tour. The Company will maintain all information regarding vaccination status as confidential in accordance with applicable laws. The Company cannot guarantee employment for any Associate who is unable to satisfy foreign entry requirements. Mitigation Guidelines for touring employees will remain in effect until further notice as do applicable venue, local, state and/or international requirements, rules, regulations and/or laws, if any.
