Work Responsibilities
You will be responsible for tasks related to your assigned section within the project (asset creation, expression verification, etc.). You will also handle direction and lead tasks for your assigned section (quality control, production management, evaluation, and training, etc.).

Necessary Skills and Experience
- The ability to contribute to game development as a VFX artist
- Basic Japanese conversational skills
- Experience as a manager/leader in development project
- 3 or more years of experience in high-end game effects production
Desired Skills
- Experience with video/animation production
- Experience in Houdini
- Experience with Substance Designer
- A wide knowledge of current games
- Experience with Unreal Engine and Unity
Conditions
No games industry experience required for this position if you have skills applicable to game development as an artist.

Selection Process
Our candidate selection process is comprised of the following steps:
- Document screening
- Interview process (Total of 2 to 4 interviews, including final interview)
- Offer of employment
- Post-offer discussion
Please allow approximately 1 to 1.5 months from the "document screening" to the "post-offer discussion" phases. If you are in a hurry, please let us know at the time of scheduling your interview. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and attempt to expedite the overall hiring process.

Salary
Negotiable
Annual salary with payments on a monthly basis. Salary is determined based on the employee’s level of experience and ability, rather than age.
Work Hours
Discretionary working system (deemed working hours 9.5 hours/day)
Working hours are generally from 9:30 to 18:00, but are left to individual discretion. (Employees are expected to take at least 60 minutes of break time during their work day.)
Allowances and Stipends
- Fixed overtime allowance (40 hours/month, included in annual salary)
- Premium wages (overtime allowance, late-night work allowance, holiday work allowance)
- Relocation stipend
- A flat 300,000 yen is provided to new employees relocating from a distant area (over 150km from the workplace). For those relocating from overseas, a flat 500,000 yen relocation stipend is provided.
- Child allowance (5,000 yen per month per dependent child under 18 years old)
Holidays and Leave
- Annual paid leave (depends on joining month/max 10 days in first year/partially granted on joining date)
- National holidays, summer holidays (5 days), year-end and New Year holidays, company founding day, congratulatory and condolence leave
- Other special leave
- Annual holidays: 130 days (2023 actual)
Retirement Pay
Included (Based on the PlatinumGames Retirement Pay Regulations)
Mandatory Retirement Age
60 years old (re-employment system available until 65 years old)
