Terrific Minds is seeking a talented Virtual Reality Developer to join our dynamic team. Our mission is to push the boundaries of VR experience across domains including retail and healthcare, creating immersive and interactive experiences that redefine how users engage with digital content.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
- Experience in game development in Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Proficient in C#/C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Blender for creating, and optimizing 3D models.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud to manipulate 2D textures and assets.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to address technical issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- A portfolio of previous projects or experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop VR experiences and applications using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Develop interactive worlds that bring together 3D models, immersive sound, animations, and
- Prototype and develop interactions in virtual reality, making use of modalities such as hand tracking.
- Ensure optimal performance of VR experiences, achieving smooth frame rates and minimal latency across devices.
- Conduct testing and debugging to identify and rectify issues.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting to end-users and clients utilizing VR applications.
- Take part in the research and development process to explore and implement new technologies and techniques in VR experiences.
- Work closely with a variety of teams, including designers, artists, and testers, to drive projects.
- Document the development process, including design choices, implementation details, and user guides, to support knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
- Contribute to the improvement and innovation of our development team.
COMPETENCIES
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
- Experience in VR development with hands-on experience in VR hardware, software, and development platforms.
- Familiarity with relevant VR frameworks and libraries such as XR Interaction Toolkit.
- A solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles, with the ability to design intuitive and user friendly VR interfaces.
- Knowledge of physics-based simulations, particle systems, and shader programming.
- A portfolio of VR and 3D development projects.
