Working Student

As a working student, you will support us in a development environment with digitalization tasks. This involves transferring material data into an existing Low-Code platform 'OutSystems', establishing suitable data connections, and ensuring data relationships. The goal is the further development of the User Interface or the redesign of dashboards (e.g., Tableau) for data visualization based on a solid data foundation.

Must Have

• Responsible for documenting and processing data, interested in material and cost correlations.
• Create structured data from raw data, work on data cleansing, management, and visualization in a web portal, enable automated data generation.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to merge material and process data, coordinate with development, IT, or purchasing.
• Currently studying Business Informatics, IT, AI, Business Administration with IT focus, or similar with good academic performance.
• Skills: Web development, database development (SQL, CSS, HTML), Outsystems experience.
• Responsible, independent, highly motivated, and team-oriented work style.
• Very good English and fluent German language skills (written and spoken).

Good to Have

• Interests: Data correlations, data cleansing, optimization, material and cost topics.
• Ideally, experience with IT systems and JavaScript programming.

Your Role

As part of your working student activity, you will support us in a development environment with digitalization tasks. For this purpose, you will transfer material data into an existing Low-Code platform 'OutSystems', establish suitable data connections, and ensure data relationships. The goal is the further development of the User Interface or the redesign of dashboards (e.g., Tableau) for data visualization based on a solid data foundation.

Main activities in your new role:

• Keep an overview: You are responsible for the documentation and further processing of a variety of data and have an interest in material and cost relationships.
• Data Scientist: You are responsible for creating a structured and solid data basis from raw data. You work on data cleansing, data management, and data visualization in a user-friendly web portal. You enable timely, automatic data generation at the push of a button. With you, Big Data becomes Smart Data!
• Networking within the company: You work cross-departmentally on the consolidation of material and process data. Coordination with departments in development, IT, or purchasing will be important for you.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills that will help you succeed

• Course of study: You are currently studying Business Informatics, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration with a focus on Computer Science, or a comparable course of study with good academic performance.
• Skills: Knowledge in web development and database development with SQL, CSS, HTML, as well as experience with the Low-Code platform Outsystems.
• Interests: Data correlations, data cleansing, optimization, material and cost topics.
• Experience: Experience with MS Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint. Ideally, you have already gained experience in dealing with IT systems and with the programming language JavaScript.
• Personality: You are characterized by a responsible and independent way of working, as well as high self-motivation and teamwork skills.
• Language skills: You have very good English and fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.

Important information:

• Part-time work: The focus is on your studies. Therefore, the working student activity is possible for a maximum of 20 hours per week during the lecture period.
• Regularly enrolled students are very welcome: To work as a working student with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not yet have completed all examination achievements or modules of your studies. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months. Please note that you must not be on a semester break.
• You should live near the place of employment: For good cooperation, it is important to us that you can regularly come to the location to integrate into the team.
