Job Description

As an Audio Designer, you will be responsible for the ideation, iteration, and development of audio for a level. You will collaborate with Creative and Design Directors to develop best-in-class VR games. This involves creating high-quality audio assets and systems, implementing audio using middleware like Audiokinetic Wwise, FMod and/or Unreal Engine 4/5, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure audio is integrated into gameplay. You will also work closely with the audio team, project audio point person, and producers to spec out deliverables, maintain documentation, and keep tasks within scope. You will be responsible for a large part of how the game should sound and document asset lists and audio features, as well as being a positive advocate for the audio team.
Must have:
  • Creating high-quality audio assets and systems.
  • Implementing audio using middleware like Wwise, FMod and/or Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to incorporate audio into gameplay.
  • Work with audio team, and project producers to spec out deliverables.

Job Details

nDreams Studio Elevation is re-establishing the boundaries of VR. We’re looking for an exceptionally talented Audio Designer to help us explore, create, and deliver world-leading innovation in software and VR hardware. With our first title nearing release and a second in early planning stages, it’s a great time to join our fully remote, VR-first studio.  

As an Audio Designer, you will be owning and driving the ideation, iteration, and development of a level. In this exciting and critical role, you will collaborate closely with Creative and Design Directors to help develop best in class VR games. 

 

The rundown:  

  • 12 month fixed term contract  
  • Full time (37.5 hours per week)  
  • Fully remote within the UK 
  • Salary is competitive and dependent on experience 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Creating high quality audio assets and systems. 
  • Implementing audio via middleware like Audiokinetic Wwise, FMod and/or Unreal Engine 4/5 and blueprints. 
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure audio is incorporated into all aspects of gameplay and enhances game experience. 
  • Work closely with members of the audio team. 
  • Working with the project’s audio point person, and project producers to spec out deliverables, locate dependencies, maintain documentation, and keep tasks within scope. 
  • Where required and supported by the audio lead, taking responsibility for a large part of how that game should sound. 
  • Documenting asset lists and audio features. 
  • Being a positive advocate and representative for the audio team within the studio and externally.
