The Manager, UCAN Campaign Planning - Films at Netflix is a global strategic marketing role responsible for ensuring US-originating film campaigns resonate internationally. This involves advising on campaign strategy, driving cross-functional team alignment, and partnering with global marketing teams across various regions. Responsibilities include contributing to strategic development, managing regional campaign rollout, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Creative, Regional Marketing, Publicity, etc.), building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding global business and cultural nuances, managing global kickoffs and regional taskforces, leading brainstorms, and advising regional teams for global connectivity and local resonance. The role requires experience in integrated and international marketing, with experience in live TV events or sports marketing being a plus.

Overview:


The UCAN Marketing Planning Manager is a global strategic marketing partner responsible for ensuring that every live event, series, and film campaign originating from the United States is developed to resonate with our audiences around the world. To achieve this, the Manager is responsible for advising on campaign and regional planning strategy and development and driving global cross functional team alignment. 


The ideal candidate is well versed in integrated and international marketing as they will be a seasoned thought partner for Global Marketing teams (US, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Asia). Experience working on Live TV events and/or in sports marketing is a plus. Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Partnership 

  • Contribute to the strategic development and regional campaign management of UCAN LIVE & Events and Nonfiction (Documentaries, Sports and Unscripted) campaigns from upstream development to campaign rollout to ensure global resonance and impact outside of the home territory.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Creative and Regional Marketing, Publicity, Operations, Social, Consumer Products & Experiences, Games, Marketing Partnerships, Brand, Franchise Planning Content, Product Marketing) to define the campaign strategy and roadmap e.g. via review of culturally applicable positioning, early brief and timeline development, initial IP strategy and brand guides for franchises.

  • Build strong working relationships with key internal Marcomms partners and external stakeholders/creators.

  • Understand our global business and regional and cultural nuances that inform our strategies and campaigns.


Global Campaign Development 

  • Manage global kickoffs and regional taskforces to advise and align cross-functional teams on campaign strategy and considerations as they build their respective tactics.

  • Lead global brainstorms and identify creatively excellent ideas and unique media tactics that can scale across markets and generate conversation/earned media.  

  • Collaborate on the development of creative concept toolkits for cross functional teams to leverage for campaign cohesion.

  • Advise and provide updates, guardrails, and plan feedback to Regional Marketing and Partnership teams for global connectivity and local resonance.


Regional Marketing Context Hub 

  • Key point of contact for MarComms teams on the UCAN LIVE & Events and Nonfiction priorities and global content slate context as teams plan regional initiatives.

  • Provide global insights and perspective to US cross-functional teams e.g. cultural trends, regional learnings. 

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $170,000- $360,000. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
