The Principal Enterprise Architect at Disney Experiences (DX) Tech & Digital will oversee the integration of emerging platforms and business solutions. This strategic role involves long-term planning, architectural guidance, team leadership, and ensuring quality architecture practices. Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams to develop solutions, documenting architecture practices, facilitating decision-making processes, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role requires strong communication, strategic planning, and experience with the BlueDolphin architecture model repository.

About the Role & Team

The Principal Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in overseeing the integration of emerging platforms and business solutions in the context of the DX Businesses. This position requires a strategic mindset; participating in the long-term planning process, offering architectural guidance, leading a team of architects, and ensuring the quality and integrity of architecture practices. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with various teams to develop scenarios and solutions that meet enterprise requirements, document and communicate architecture practices, and facilitate architectural decision-making processes.

What You Will Do

The Enterprise Architect will drive strategic integration, guide architectural decisions, and ensure alignment of with organizational goals across the DX Businesses.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong communication skills, executive presence, and diplomatic partnership.

  • Experience in strategic planning with the ability to balance technical and business needs.

  • Ability to oversee the integration of emerging platforms and business solutions in the BlueDolphin architecture model repository.

  • Provide architectural guidance and reviews for strategic implementations.

  • Collaborate with Disney teams to develop scenarios and features that address DX enterprise requirements.

  • Lead a team of architects in delivering Architecture Practices offerings.

  • Document, communicate, and train on DX architecture practices.

  • Facilitate the architectural decision process by partnering and communicating with practice leaders and SMEs.

  • Ensure BlueDolphin metadata and taxonomy relationships align with organizational strategy and goals.

  • Manage the Architecture Review Board process flow.

  • Define and implement Technology Practices, including architecture and technology goals, patterns, and standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience defining and implementing architectures

  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, particularly in overseeing the integration of emerging platforms and business solutions

  • Proven track record in leading teams of architects

  • Experience in collaborating with various teams to develop scenarios and features that meet enterprise requirements

  • Proficiency in facilitating architectural decision-making processes

  • Familiarity with metadata management and taxonomy relationships

  • Expertise in defining and implementing technology practices, patterns, and standards

  • Background in strategic integration of emerging technologies within enterprise contexts

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) preferred

  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, Archimate, or equivalent enterprise architecture certifications are highly desirable
