Job Summary
Onward Search is hiring an Account Manager II for a hybrid position in Mettawa, Illinois. This is a 1-year contract opportunity. The Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the in-house agency and brand teams, providing strategic direction, managing day-to-day relationships, and ensuring high-quality project execution that aligns with business objectives and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include collaborating on creative briefs, recommending promotional tactics, managing project workflow, reviewing creative work, issuing client contact reports, facilitating communications, developing forecasts, and tracking time.
Must Have
- Act as the main liaison between brand teams and the agency
- Collaborate with brand team on the development of creative briefs
- Recommend key promotional tactics aligned with brand strategy and goals
- Manage project workflow: kickoff, approvals, production, and archiving
- Review creative work from concept to completion
- Issue client contact reports to document discussions and next steps
- Facilitate timely and accurate communications across all stakeholders
- Develop annual forecasts and perform monthly financial reconciliations
- Track time daily and support adherence to company-wide policies
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4–6+ years of account management experience (agency or in-house)
- Strong digital background with familiarity in online tools, apps, and digital marketing solutions
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills

This is a 1-year contract opportunity with a schedule of three days onsite and two days remote.
The Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the in-house agency and brand teams, providing strategic direction, managing day-to-day relationships, and ensuring high-quality project execution that aligns with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Account Manager II Responsibilities:
- Act as the main liaison between brand teams and the agency.
- Collaborate with brand team on the development of creative briefs.
- Recommend key promotional tactics aligned with brand strategy and goals.
