- A solid grasp of risk management principles and the skill to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable strategies.
- Lead the design, development, and global rollout of the Operational Risk Database, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal frameworks.
- Assess and enhance BDRO architecture, ensuring scalability and compliance.
- Translate complex data models into clear, structured datasets that meet regulatory standards.
- Design and implement data quality controls and governance mechanisms.
- Integrate multiple data sources to create key indicators and risk models.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
- Champion technical excellence and best practices within the team.
- Strong foundation in analytics engineering, data modeling, and advanced analysis techniques.
- Experience with Big Data and large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of deployment pipelines and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with data platforms and tools (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Soda).

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineer Specialist to join our Operational Risk team. This role is central to shaping and scaling our Operational Risk Database (BDRO) globally, while driving innovation in quantitative non-financial risk management.
If you have a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and stakeholder leadership—and are passionate about using data to transform risk strategies—this role is for you. You’ll help build a robust risk culture that not only ensures regulatory compliance but also leverages cutting-edge practices to fuel sustainable growth.
Your mission: deliver a regulatory-compliant BDRO that evolves into a global risk data platform. You’ll lead on architecture, dataset design, controls, indicators, and models that enable smarter, data-driven decision-making across risk teams worldwide.

Our Nu Way of Working
Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of expertise. For every eight or two weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
