Job Summary
Quest Global is seeking an Entry Level Automation Engineer for their Smart Glasses team, focusing on Wearables Verification and Validation. The role involves developing and executing Python-based automation frameworks to test battery rundown and power consumption, supporting UI automation for Android and iOS devices, and integrating power measurement tools. The engineer will also contribute to data collection, reporting, and visualization using Python and Plotly, performing both manual and automated testing to optimize battery and power performance. This position offers a chance for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge wearable technology.
Must Have
- Assist in developing automation frameworks using Python to test battery rundown flows and measure power consumption of Smart Glasses.
- Support UI automation of device operations for Android and iOS (using XCUI), Appium.
- Help integrate automation for instruments like power measurement tools such as NI-DAQ, Monsoon.
- Participate in data collection and reporting to internal dashboards for improved visualization of battery and power data.
- Conduct manual and automated testing on Smart Glasses software to monitor battery and power performance.
- Contribute to the development of data plotting tools using Python and Plotly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in software development, automation, or QA.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with automation frameworks, device testing, and data visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding in version Control Git, GitHub.
- Basic knowledge in AR Application Development.
- Familiarity with Data Visualization framework like Plotly, JavaScript.
- Understanding of RDBMS Concepts.
Good to Have
- Proficiency in Swift, C#.
- Experience with UI Automation Framework XCUI.
- Exposure to Mobile Development Android Studio, Xcode, Unity Studio.
- Experience in CI/CD: Jenkins.

Join the Smart Glasses team as an Entry Level Automation Engineer in Wearables Verification and Validation team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of automation frameworks, support device testing, and help streamline data collection and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in automation, mobile development, and data visualization.
What You will Do:
- Assist in developing automation frameworks using Python to test battery rundown flows and measure power consumption of Smart Glasses.
- Support UI automation of device operations for Android and iOS (using XCUI), Appium etc.
- Help integrate automation for instruments like power measurement tools such as NI-DAQ, Monsoon.
- Participate in data collection and reporting to internal dashboards for improved visualization of battery and power data.
- Conduct manual and automated testing on Smart Glasses software to monitor battery and power performance, identify issues, and suggest optimizations.
- Contribute to the development of data plotting tools using Python and Plotly, and assist in automating data visualization tasks.

Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in software development, automation, or QA (internships and academic projects count)

Pay Range:
$80K to $90K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Sunnyvale, CA.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements:
Due to the nature of the work, 10% of travel is required.
