Customer Solution Consultant / Customer Solution Consultant Sr leverages industry, technology, and business knowledge to lead conversations with our clients designed to identify business challenges and leverage the full portfolio of CSG solutions, products, services, and partners to provide innovative and relevant solutions to solve for those challenges. The Customer Solution Consultant Sr works with our clients to understand and align their strategic goals and objectives with the appropriate solutions, products, and services. The Customer Solution Consultant Sr then frames creative and innovative business, technical, and operating models, including commercial models, that increase revenue, market share, improved customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
We are looking for a Customer Solution Consultant Sr who will:
- Tailor strategies and solutions to meet customer needs and business goals.
- Frame creative business, technical, and operational models that enhance revenue, market share, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
- Develop proposals and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and proactive bids in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Formulate business and solution architecture strategies aligned to customer scenarios and motivations.
- Build business cases to justify new business models and architectures for clients.
- Guide solution design teams to develop technically sound, fit-for-purpose, and commercially competitive solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales Directors (pursuit leads) to create and execute integrated account plans aligned with client transformation objectives.
- Coordinate communications among internal teams, clients to ensure alignment and pursuit success.
- Work with Finance, Legal, Product, Delivery, Transition, and R&D teams on pricing, solution design, and proposal development.
- Prepare compelling collateral such as case studies, presentations, and reusable content for customer engagements.
- Drive business results, meeting or exceeding assigned quotas while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with product, strategy, and solution teams to identify and develop new go-to-market offerings.
- Engage in business development activities with Sales leads to create and advance new opportunities.
- Leverage industry and technology knowledge to deliver new insights and innovative recommendations to customers.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activities and apply insights to strengthen customer value propositions.
- Promote the full breadth of CSG’s products, services, and partner ecosystem to existing and prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, expanding influence and network within client organizations.
- Represent CSG at trade shows and industry events to strengthen brand presence and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop thought leadership content such as points of view, whitepapers, and articles in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Independently engage with mid-tier (Tier 2) customers, identifying opportunities and collaborating with stakeholders to build business cases and close deals.
- Exhibit professional behavior and collaboration, maintaining strong internal relationships and communication in line with CSG’s core values.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in business or solution consulting for software products, services, solutions, and/or system integration capabilities.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in roles such as business/solution consulting, system integration, product/solution vendor, or deal leadership.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in developing and transforming business or solution architectures and business models within large enterprise environments, primarily at the logical and strategic levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, maintaining focus and quality across complex engagements.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to draw meaningful insights from data, recommend next-best actions, and create actionable business growth plans.
- Solid understanding of business principles and market dynamics, including how value is created, how strategies are developed, and how business processes bring concepts to life.
- Ability to conceptualize business models independent of underlying technologies, focusing on business outcomes and strategic alignment.
- Skilled in leading customer engagements across multiple levels of client organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust and influence outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex business and technical information into clear, persuasive narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Competence in bridging business and technical teams, effectively translating customer requirements into technical solutions.
