The company is seeking a Data Analyst 1 for its Belo Horizonte/MG office. This role involves working within the Data Management/Data Visualization team, focusing on operational processes for data registration in the EQuIS database, generating technical outputs, and supporting data governance improvements. Key responsibilities include automating routines, validating data, building and modeling databases, and communicating with various stakeholders and laboratories.

Must Have

  • Act as an analyst in the Data Management/Data Visualization team
  • Participate in operational processes for data registration in the EQuIS database
  • Generate outputs requested by technical teams
  • Assist in improving data governance processes
  • Automate routines, validate data, build and model databases
  • Communicate with stakeholders and support internal clients
  • Direct communication with laboratories for results alignment
  • University degree in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, other engineering fields, Biology, Information Technology, or related areas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of data structuring, modeling, analysis, and visualization
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Proficiency in Power BI (DAX and Power Query functions)
  • Experience handling physico-chemical and general environmental data
  • Availability to work in the Belo Horizonte office

Good to Have

  • Experience with EQuIS software
  • Soft skills (Negotiation, communication, presentation, and organization)
  • English for communication with the global team
  • Experience in QA/QC
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of biological and ecotoxicological data
  • Knowledge of R

About this opportunity

WSP Brazil is initiating a search for a person for the position of Data Analyst 1 to work in our office in Belo Horizonte/MG.

Responsibilities of this position

  • Act as an analyst in the Data Management/Data Visualization team;
  • Participate in operational processes for registering information in our EQuIS database;
  • Generate outputs requested by technical teams;
  • Assist in the process of improving data governance;
  • Work with routine automations and data validation, database construction and modeling;
  • Contact with different stakeholders within consulting projects and support internal clients in their technical demands;
  • Have direct communication with laboratories for alignment of results delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Professionals with a complete higher education in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or other engineering fields, Biology, Information Technology, and other related areas are eligible;
  • Proficiency in Office Package tools, especially Excel;
  • Knowledge in data structuring, modeling, analysis, and visualization;
  • Knowledge in Python and SQL;
  • Proficiency in Power BI (Knowledge of DAX and Power Query functions);
  • Experience in handling physico-chemical and general environmental data.
  • It is important to have availability to work in the Belo Horizonte office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Having worked with EQuIS software;
