Job Description

WSP is one of the world's leading consulting and advisory companies, with approximately 75,000 employees worldwide. In Norway, we have approximately 500 employees working across disciplines with offices from Alta in the north to Kristiansand in the south. At WSP, project and process managers, construction managers, environmental consultants, analysts, urban developers, and consulting engineers across all disciplines work.

WSP is looking for a summer student for 2026 for our Earth & Environment business area. As a summer student, you will be affiliated with the Water department in Oslo, where you will gain experience with a consultant's daily work. In addition, you will participate in a multidisciplinary summer student team that will solve a common interdisciplinary task.

Who are you?

  • For our Earth & Environment business area, we are looking for future Water/VA consultants. WSP is a world leader in environmental consulting, so here you will get an exciting opportunity! We are looking for you who are in your third or fourth year, with a curriculum that emphasizes Water/VA.
  • Experience from relevant summer jobs, internships, or voluntary positions is a plus.
  • To succeed in the role of a summer student, we believe you enjoy working in a team, are curious about the consulting industry, and are not afraid to ask questions and take initiative.

What will you work with?

You will divide your time between working on tasks related to consulting assignments and participating in a joint summer student project. Here you get a combination of trying your hand at the role of a consultant and gaining insight into how we work, while also getting the opportunity to run a project in a multidisciplinary team with current topics. This year, Geotechnics, Water/VA, and External Environment are collaborating on a joint project, and perhaps your ideas and perspectives can contribute to changes.

What is it like to have a summer job at WSP?

We have our own onboarding process tailored for our summer students. During your first week of work, you will receive an overall introduction to WSP and the department you will belong to, a tour of our super nice office, an introduction to the summer project, and other practical information.

For our summer students, there will be a flexible working day, with core hours from 09:00-15:00. The summer student program lasts approximately 6 weeks, from when you finish your last exam (around June 16 to around August 15). In weeks 27, 28, and 29, our office will have many empty chairs, and you will therefore have a holiday during this period. Your stay at WSP will conclude with an internal presentation of the project assignment in August. The workplace will be one of Oslo's finest office premises, the "Trekantbygget" at St. Olavs plass.

Submit your CV and application, also attach your transcript when applying.

We look forward to hearing from you!
