As a Property Risk and Compliance Consultant at WSP, you will join the Environment Health & Safety team in Melbourne, Australia. Must Have

• Undertake compliance and risk assessments
• Conduct gap analyses for retail, commercial, and industrial properties
• Identify non-compliance and recommend remediation strategies (e.g., confined spaces, hazardous materials, fire safety)
• Provide expert guidance on compliance to clients
• Stay informed about evolving compliance regulations and industry trends
• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Engineering, or Facilities Management (or equivalent)
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs

As a Property Risk and Compliance Consultant, you'll join WSP's Environment Health & Safety team, tackling Australia’s biggest challenges. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety and compliance across diverse retail, commercial, and industrial property portfolios, helping to ensure the safety of key community facilities.

What You’ll Do

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Undertake compliance and risk assessments and conduct gap analyses for a wide range of retail, commercial and industrial properties, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending effective remediation strategies in areas such as confined spaces, hazardous materials, hazardous chemicals, fire safety, traffic management, environmental management, and contractor management.
• Collaborate with clients to provide expert guidance on compliance-related matters, serving as a trusted advisor to optimise property management processes.
• Stay informed about evolving compliance regulations and industry trends to offer proactive recommendations and anticipate potential challenges.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Health & Safety, Engineering, Facilities Management) or equivalent practical experience.
• Ideally you will have between 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Prior experience working in a consulting environment will be well-regarded.
• A genuine interest in expanding your knowledge and capabilities in property risk, compliance, and health & safety assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs.
