Job Description

This Senior Data Scientist Engineer position in Brest, France, involves supporting clients in data valorization projects, designing and validating data science solutions across various domains (Industry, Space, Defense, Health), and contributing to the integration and deployment of these solutions. The role also includes technology watch in AI, participating in pre-sales activities, and sharing expertise within the Data & Artificial Intelligence department at Thales, focusing on trusted AI and secure data processing pipelines for critical sectors.

Must Have:
  • Accompany clients in data valorization projects by proposing innovative and relevant technical solutions.
  • Select, design, implement, and validate data science solutions in various domains (Industry, Space, Defense, Health).
  • Participate in discussions on the lifecycle management of algorithms and data in production.
  • Contribute to the integration and deployment of developed solutions (containerization, managed services, APIs).
  • Ensure technology watch to follow developments in all AI domains (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI).
  • Participate in pre-sales actions for clients (presentation of offers, needs qualification).
  • Be proactive and a driving force for communicating and sharing your expertise.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on Dataiku projects.
  • Proficiency in data and artificial intelligence tools and concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering.
  • Mastery of software development languages (Python, Spark, Scala, Java, C/C++).
  • Familiarity with Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, ScikitLearn, or Pandas.
  • Knowledge of main generative AI frameworks (Langchain, Ollama, etc).
  • Experience on a Cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Desire to apply skills to solve complex problems.
  • Enjoy transmitting knowledge and supporting users in adopting innovative solutions.
  • Enjoy working in a team daily and interacting in 'Agile' mode.
  • Good command of English.

Your daily life

To strengthen our teams on our site, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist Engineer (M/F).

Your missions, in collaboration with the members of the DI DAI team:

  • Accompany our clients in their data valorization projects by proposing innovative and relevant technical solutions,
  • Select, design, implement, and validate data science solutions in various domains (Industry, Space, Defense, Health),
  • Participate in discussions on the lifecycle management of algorithms and data in production,
  • Contribute to the integration and deployment in production of developed solutions (containerization, managed services, APIs),
  • Ensure technology watch to follow developments in all AI domains (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI),
  • Participate in pre-sales actions for our clients (presentation of our offers, needs qualification),
  • Be proactive and a driving force for communicating and sharing your expertise

Your Profile

With a minimum Bac+5 education, you have at least 2 years of experience on Dataiku projects and master tools and concepts related to data and artificial intelligence with strong knowledge in software engineering.

Do you have the following skills?

  • You master software development languages (Python, Spark, Scala, Java, C/C++…)
  • Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, ScikitLearn, or Pandas hold no secrets for you
  • You know the main generative AI frameworks (Langchain, Ollama, etc)
  • You have experience on a Cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • You want to apply your skills to solve complex problems
  • You enjoy transmitting your know-how and supporting users in adopting your innovative solutions
  • You enjoy working in a team daily and you know how to interact in "Agile" mode.

A good command of English is essential to interact effectively with our teams and partners.

A DataIku certification would be a plus
