Job Description

As a Developer Advocate at Apollo, you will lead efforts in scaling developers' success with GraphOS. This role focuses on helping developers get to production using Apollo's tools like Apollo Studio and CLI commands and creating growth opportunities in feature adoption. You will develop technical content, engage with the developer community, and influence the product roadmap. Your goal is to drive adoption, expand the user base, and support developers in their journey to production. You will work with developers, create technical content, develop demand-generation strategies, work closely with Sales, promote user success stories, identify community contributions, partner with the Product team, and align with Marketing. You'll track key performance indicators such as adoption rates, lead generation metrics, and user engagement.
Must have:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Developer Relations (DevRel) and community engagement.
  • Background in SaaS or DevOps with strong technical expertise in command-line interfaces (CLI) and scripting.
  • Proven ability to create and grow engaged backend developer communities through compelling technical content.
  • Familiarity with demand-generation strategies and experience driving growth and adoption.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience working with GraphQL and Apollo’s ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with onboarding workflows and strategies for user success.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Live or similar platforms for community engagement.
  • Background in working with startups or high-growth environments.

Job Details

As a Developer Advocate at Apollo, you will lead our efforts in scaling developers’ success getting to production with GraphOS. This role is focused on helping developers get to production with GraphOS using Apollo's tools such as Apollo Studio and CLI commands and creating opportunities for growth in feature adoption.

As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to create technical content, engage with the developer community, and influence the product roadmap to better serve users. Your goal will be to establish an effective strategy to drive adoption, expand our user base, and support developers in their journey to production.

What you'll do

    • Work with developers using Apollo GraphOS to help them successfully scale their usage and drive growth in feature adoption.
    • Develop and deliver engaging technical content, such as blog posts, tutorials, and webinars, to educate users on Apollo Studio, CLI commands, and best practices for scaling.
    • Develop demand-generation strategies to create and qualify leads.
    • Work closely with Sales to identify high-potential users and manage smooth handoffs for enterprise deals.
    • Promote user success stories through initiatives like LinkedIn Live sessions and blog features.
    • Identify and amplify community contributions, celebrating achievements and inspiring others.
    • Partner with the Product team to shape onboarding workflows and features that address developer needs.
    • Align with Marketing to amplify developer-focused campaigns and events.

Who you are
