Job Summary

Job Description

This role involves actively participating in the production ramp-up of surface radar systems, focusing on stabilizing definition files, managing evolutions, and resolving technical issues. Key responsibilities include designing electromechanical equipment, creating sub-assembly nomenclatures, and developing electrical diagrams using CAD. The technician will also dimension power distribution networks, perform detailed CAD design, and prepare definition files. The position requires assisting during integration, testing, and production phases, managing evolution requests, and addressing non-conformities.
Must have:
  • Actively participate in the ramp-up of system production.
  • Contribute to the stabilization of definition files.
  • Manage evolutions and resolve technical problems.
  • Contribute to the design of electromechanical equipment, wired cabinets, component packaging, interconnection cabling, and electrical power distribution systems.
  • Create the nomenclature of sub-assemblies under development.
  • Design electrical diagrams using CAD.
  • Dimension line sections and associated protection components.
  • Perform detailed CAD design for implementation and routing.
  • Prepare the definition file in compliance with company standards and cost/deadline/manufacturability objectives.
  • Participate in definition file reviews.
  • Provide assistance during integration, testing, and production phases.
  • Manage evolution requests and non-conformities of equipment.
  • Participate in business meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • BAC+2 education (equivalent to a 2-year post-secondary degree).
  • 5 years or more of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of Autocad and SEE Electrical Exper tools.
  • Ability to dimension electrical power distribution networks.
  • Good interpersonal skills, integration, and adaptation capacity for teamwork.
  • Analytical, synthetic, and rigorous mindset.
  • Dynamic, methodical, autonomous, and team-oriented.

Your daily life

Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest centers of excellence for surface radars. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to detecting and identifying targets.

The position is based in Limours (site 40 minutes from Paris, 20 minutes from Massy, and accessible via our network of free shuttles from Massy, Pont de Sèvres, Vélizy, Versailles, Saint Quentin en Yvelines).

Your daily life

The Thales Surface Radar (SRA) entity ensures the design, manufacturing, testing, installation on client sites, and operational maintenance of civil and military radars.

Within the Antenna, Radar, and Structure (ARS) Competence Center, your main missions will be to:

  • Actively participate in the ramp-up of our systems' production, notably by contributing to the stabilization of definition files, managing evolutions, and resolving technical problems.
  • Contribute to the design of electromechanical equipment, wired cabinets, component packaging, interconnection cabling, and electrical power distribution systems.
  • Create the nomenclature of sub-assemblies under development and design electrical diagrams using CAD.
  • Dimension line sections and associated protection components in accordance with design rules.
  • Perform detailed CAD design for implementation and routing and prepare the definition file in compliance with company standards and cost/deadline/manufacturability objectives with suppliers.
  • Participate in definition file reviews.

Your profile

Do you know or want to discover the defense sector and wish to contribute to the service activities of the rapidly growing Surface Radar and Systems domains?

With a BAC+2 education, you have 5 years or more of professional experience and knowledge of tools such as Autocad, SEE Electrical Exper?

Do you know how to dimension electrical power distribution networks?
