Job Summary
Aptiv is seeking an Engineer - Manufacturing for their Bangalore, India location. The role involves developing training guides for wire cutting, cable stripping, and crimping, conducting theoretical and practical trainings, and evaluating trainees. The engineer will also support production by identifying skill gaps, conducting refresher trainings, promoting continuous improvements and 5S practices, and maintaining training matrices. Candidates should have a Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical with 3-6 years of experience in the wiring harness manufacturing industry and be proficient in English, Kannada, and Hindi.
Must Have
- Developing comprehensive training guides and visual aids for wire cutting, manual cable stripping, crimping, and other specialized processes
- Conduct theoretical and practical trainings on wiring harness processes
- Train operators on workmanship standards and safety procedures
- Evaluate trainees through assessments and skill tests and provide feedback for improvement
- Support production team by identifying skill gaps and conducting refresher trainings
- Promote a culture of continuous improvements and 5S practices on the shopfloor
- Update process flows and documentation during design and configuration changes
- Maintain training matrices and monitored operator qualification levels to ensure compliance
- Diploma /B.E. - Mechanical/Electrical
- Min 3 – 6 years’ experience in W/H manufacturing Industry
- Should know to communicate in English/Kannada/Hindi
