Job Description

As the Employee Relations Leader for EMEA, this role guides a dedicated team of ER professionals in Ireland, shaping support across Ireland, the UK, France, Italy, and Luxembourg. It's crucial for nurturing a fair, inclusive, and purposeful culture where everyone can excel. The manager partners with regional leaders to ensure a consistent, transparent ER approach aligned with eBay’s purpose. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid work model (3 days in Dublin office, 2 days remote).
Must Have:
  • Lead and develop a passionate ER team, encouraging collaboration and consistent standard processes across Europe.
  • Partner with leaders to resolve employee issues early, fairly, and with empathy.
  • Use people insights and data to identify trends, anticipate risks, and develop proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate across HR and business teams to deliver initiatives that strengthen eBay’s culture and employee experience.
  • Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders at all levels, promoting open dialogue and inclusion.
  • Champion eBay’s purpose and values in every decision, ensuring fairness and transparency are at the heart of what we do.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading an employee relations function within a dynamic, multinational environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and encouraging ER or HR professionals.
  • Strong understanding of European employment law and experience working with works councils and staff representatives.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills—able to build trust and credibility across diverse teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn people data into meaningful insights and action.
  • Experience leading change with empathy and resilience.
  • A relevant qualification in HR, Employment Law, or a related field.
