Job Summary

This internship involves monitoring political, regulatory, and institutional developments concerning the European Commission and French authorities. The trainee will analyze legislative texts, public consultations, and industrial strategies, preparing concise summary notes and contributing to Valeo's official positions. Responsibilities also include coordinating with professional federations, assisting in high-level institutional meetings, and conducting strategic analysis on European competitiveness, innovation, and connected vehicles. The role supports group management with insightful analyses and contributes to institutional communication and event organization.

Job Description

Your missions:

  • You will participate in political, regulatory, and institutional monitoring of the work of the European Commission, European Parliament, Council, and French authorities.
  • You will analyze legislative texts, public consultations, and industrial strategies, drafting clear and operational summary notes.
  • You will contribute to the development of Valeo's positions, helping to prepare argumentation notes, talking points, and advocacy documents.
  • You will be involved in coordination with professional federations and the preparation of high-level institutional meetings.
  • You will support strategic analysis on major European competitiveness issues, including local content, industrial sovereignty, innovation, connected vehicles, and structuring European texts.
  • You will produce analyses intended to inform the group's management.
  • You will also contribute to the organization of institutional events and may occasionally participate in external events depending on current priorities.
  • Finally, you will participate in institutional communication, by drafting content, preparing materials, and ensuring the updating of internal monitoring and reporting tools.

About you:

  • You are a BAC+4 or BAC+5 level student.
  • You are studying at Sciences Po.
  • You are fluent in English and Mandarin, both orally and in writing.
