Must Have

• Define and design new system validation tools (sensor integration box, universal bumper, automatic vehicle test bench).

• Master Windows OS.
• Have basic knowledge of network concepts (IP, MAC, VLAN, OSI, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, SomeIP, DoIP, CAN, CAN FD, XCP).
• Be autonomous in CAPL, Python, Shell (Bash) scripting.
• Have basic knowledge of Git.
• Be autonomous in reading and defining simple electronic diagrams.
• Understand the V-cycle.
• Be proficient in technical English (written and oral).

The Valeo Mobility Tech Center based in Créteil (94) is the headquarters of the Valeo Brain Division. This Research & Development center brings together 1180 employees around the design of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), connectivity solutions, human-machine interfaces, and cabin monitoring systems.

Within the ADAS system validation team at Valeo Comfort and Driving Assistance, the internship takes place within the framework of vehicle projects for mainly French clients.

The Integration/Tooling Engineer will be responsible for the assembly, configuration, and verification of software and hardware components, ensuring the proper functioning of validation means, particularly test benches (HIL, SIL) as well as on vehicles. This role requires problem-solving skills and collaboration with development and system validation teams.

Expertise is not particularly required in validation tools, but a good capacity for adaptation and learning is required to master them effectively.

Your missions:

• Design: Define and design new system validation tools: sensor integration box, universal bumper, automatic vehicle test bench.
• Assembly, Configuration, Renovation: Integrate the different software/hardware components for the implementation of system validation benches, update the validation benches as projects evolve.
• HIL bench integration tests: Tests of the configuration and integrated components.
• Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve integration problems, incompatibilities, and dysfunctions.
• Automation: Automate validation tests defined by project teams using CAPL / bash scripts / Python.
• Documentation: Maintain precise and up-to-date technical documentation for validation benches and configurations, as well as user guides.
• Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, suppliers, and system validation project teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of validation tools and their management.

About you:

• Student in engineering school BAC+4/5.
• Operating systems: mastery of Windows (Linux appreciated) – autonomous level.
• Networks: notions of IP, MAC, VLAN addresses, OSI model, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, SomeIP, DoIP, CAN, CAN FD, XCP – basic knowledge.
• Scripting & automation: CAPL, Python, Shell (Bash) – autonomous level.
• CI/CD tools: Git – basic knowledge.
• Electronics: reading and defining simple diagrams – autonomous level.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, rigor, and involvement.
• Excellent technical communication skills.
