Job Description

The Fairmont Gold Attendant role focuses on providing personalized service to guests, particularly in the private Gold Lounge, ensuring a memorable experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests at check-in, serving food and beverages according to Fairmont Gold standards, maintaining high presentation standards, and building strong guest relationships to foster loyalty. The attendant will also assist guests with hotel facilities and provide information about local attractions. The role requires adherence to department policies, service standards, and safety procedures. This is a part-time position.

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Serve and set-up all food and beverage presentations adhering to Fairmont Gold service standards
  • Provide service in the Gold Lounge and ensure menu and food presentation is in keeping with Fairmont Gold standards
  • Develop and maintain strong Guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Provide exceptional information to our Guests about local and area attractions
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

 

  • Previous customer related experience preferred
  • Previous restaurant experience as busser or server an asset
  • Previous PMS experience an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention to guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Additional Information

Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.45 per hour

Visa Requirements: Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
