Functional Tester (M/F)

The User Centric Solutions Engineering Directorate (DI UCS) at Thales is seeking functional testers. This role involves designing and developing test solutions, participating in test strategy conception, analyzing functional requirements, estimating task loads, writing and executing manual test cases, and tracking incident resolution. The goal is to anticipate problem detection and deliver high-quality products and services, focusing on user experience and efficient cloud-native web and mobile applications.

Must Have

• Conceive and develop test solutions
• Participate in the design of the test strategy
• Analyze functional requirements and project specifications
• Estimate the workload for assigned tasks and communicate progress
• Write manual test cases and associated data sets
• Execute functional test campaigns and communicate progress
• Participate in incident and anomaly analysis and ensure correction follow-up
• Mastery of testing tools like Squash TM, Jira
• Significant experience of approximately 3 years in testing

Good to Have

• Real experience in banking/finance/personal insurance
• Ability to integrate tests into a continuous integration chain
• Knowledge of Agile principles, especially SAFe

The User Centric Solutions Engineering Directorate (DI UCS), which handles the digital services activities of the Group, is looking for its next functional testers!

DI UCS, with over 1000 engineers, addresses both the needs of the Thales group and the needs of companies seeking IT service provisions in the energy, health, industry, public sector, finance, services, and defense sectors.

Our DNA focuses on user experience as well as the efficiency of associated services and products. We are therefore specialized in the end-to-end realization of cloud-native web and mobile applications.

By joining UCS, you integrate a directorate capable of providing software solutions with high strategic stakes, secured (due to our clients' critical environments), innovative (to support/accelerate our clients' digital transformation), immersive (AR/VR), user-experience-centric, while mastering practices and technologies such as cloud, scaled agility, eco-design, UX Design, Devops, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Your Profile:

As an "Integration, Validation, Verification, and Qualification (IVVQ)" Engineer, you design and develop test solutions thanks to your knowledge of associated tools and methodologies.

You thus participate in anticipating problem detection to provide high-quality products and services.

You also monitor, transmit, and seek to improve best practices.

Your main missions are as follows:

• With the IVVQ manager, you participate in the design of the test strategy
• In close collaboration with the MOA team, you analyze functional requirements and project specifications
• Within your team, you estimate the workload for the tasks entrusted to you, and you communicate their progress,
• You write manual test cases and associated data sets.
• You execute functional test campaigns and communicate their progress.
• In relation with users and the development team, you participate in the analysis of incidents and anomalies, and ensure their correction follow-up,

You hold a Master 2 degree or an engineering school diploma and have significant experience of approximately 3 years in the testing profession. You master testing tools such as Squash TM, Jira…

Ideally, you have real experience in professions related to the banking/finance/personal insurance sector, you know how to integrate your tests into a continuous integration chain, and you know Agile principles, especially SAFe.

You are resourceful, innovative, and solution-oriented. You have a team spirit. You also like to work independently and seek responsibilities. You are able to adapt and react to change.

A word from the Manager:

To be a little more precise, we are looking for functional testers for Thales clients working in the transport sector, in highly secure and high-traffic payment, or in the personal insurance sector (health, provident, retirement, etc.).
