The Role

As a Game Designer at Hydra Games, you'll be the creative maestro behind our games. We might be small, but our dreams are big, and we need someone as passionate as us to turn those dreams into reality. If you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves, laugh at bad puns, and show off your love for games, we want you!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop exciting game concepts.
• Translate ideas into comprehensive design documents, encompassing gameplay, characters, and storylines.
• Design and refine game systems to ensure a seamless and enjoyable gaming journey.
• Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces to enhance player engagement.
• Conduct playtesting sessions to gather user feedback and iterate on designs accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure the successful implementation of design elements.
• Work closely with team members to deliver game content on schedule.
• Proactively find problems within the gameplay and provide data-driven solutions.
  
  

Ideal Profile

• Attainment of a Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in game design with a portfolio showcasing game projects.
• Possessing a creative mindset, exceptional logical and analytical capabilities, adept at adopting a player's perspective, and maintaining organisation under pressure.
• Experience in game engine software such as Unity, Unreal or similar is a plus.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; fluency is not mandatory but clarity is crucial.
• A deep passion for gaming and a strong desire to create fun and engaging experiences for players.
