$81,181.44 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Position Summary

This position performs comprehensive graphic design duties that contribute to the promotion and presentation of the Cooperative’s strategic plan.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create high quality, compelling marketing and communications materials in a variety of media, including websites, banners, email, social media, print, presentations and event graphics
  • Design, develop, produce and archive logos and illustrations for a variety of uses
  • Design projects from concept to execution while meeting the needs of various stakeholders and representing the Cooperative’s mission, vision and values
  • Collaborate in the planning, creative development and execution of the Cooperative’s communications plans, promotional campaigns and strategies
  • Direct the development of Cooperative brand identity, maintain quality and consistency across all presentation platforms
  • Maintain high level of conceptual and creative consistency across all initiatives
  • Utilize industry standard graphics/visual design software to produce final products
  • Produce layouts for traditional print platforms, utilizing industry best practices
  • Create optimized images for web and digital layouts, utilizing industry best practices
  • Bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using expertise and eye for great design
  • Monitor all stages of production to complete projects, including designing finished products and contributing to others’ ideas
  • Assist in scouting, scheduling, staging and talent procurement for photo and video campaigns to be used across various initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination of print and collateral materials
  • Correspond with external vendors to ensure proper budgeting and quality assurance of finished materials
  • Communicate with both external and internal stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Knowledge of marketing practices and procedures, design principles and media industries
  • Knowledge of visual layout best practices and trends
  • Knowledge of advanced typography theory and applications
  • Knowledge of advanced color theory and applications
  • Knowledge of industry standard design software, i.e., Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge of applicable processes, techniques and methods
  • Knowledge of digital asset management software
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office on Mac and PC platforms
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities
  • Skilled in planning and organizing projects
  • Ability to translate concepts and information into effective and engaging images
  • Ability to work under deadlines, conduct multiple tasks and maintain effective working relationships

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

  • Directly related experience may substitute for education
  • Five years of work related experience
  • Five years’ experience working with both print and digital platforms
  • Photo and video editing experience preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
