Apple's Health and Wellness products for iPhone and Apple Watch are dedicated to helping users lead more active and healthier lives. The Apple Health team is actively seeking an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to spearhead the design and development of these impactful and potentially lifesaving features. The EPM will be a key organizer, collaborating with highly skilled cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Clinical, and Design, to proactively identify and mitigate risks, refine product definitions, and oversee the full integration, testing, and evaluation of both hardware and software prototypes from early incubation through execution.
Must Have
- Create and maintain project schedules.
- Lead communication between project teams and external vendors.
- Enable development by highlighting milestones and tracking details.
- Facilitate communication across multi-functional teams.
- Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management.
- Provide status updates to management.
- Lead preparation of presentations to the executive team.
- Possess a BSME / BSEE / BME degree or equivalent.
- Have 3+ years of engineering background in computer, consumer electronics, or health technologies.
- Proven experience developing schedules with mechanical, electrical, SW, and regulatory milestones.
Good to Have
- Experience managing vendors and development builds.
- Experience with forecasting project budgets.
- Strong presentation skills.

Health EPMs are fearless organizers who are ready to work with the highly skilled Hardware, Software, Clinical, Studies, Hardware Technology, Human Interface and Industrial Design teams to identify and resolve potential risks to the schedule and quality of the product from early incubation through execution. This can range from navigating vague and conflicting goals of multi-functional teams to help refine a product definition through full integration, testing & evaluation of HW & SW prototypes.
- Create and maintain project schedules; evaluate course of action in a timely manner when issues arise
- Lead communication between project teams and external vendors
- Enable the development effort by highlighting key milestones, tracking details with cross-functional team members, and facilitating team dynamics
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across a very multi-functional team including: engineering, studies, design teams, clinical, and regulatory
- Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management
- Provide status updates to different levels of management team
- Lead preparation of presentations to the executive team
- BSME / BSEE / BME degree or equivalent in any engineering field
- Practicing engineer prior to becoming a project manager
- Project/Program Manager with a 3+ years of related engineering background in computer, consumer electronics, or health technologies
- Proven experience developing schedules with mechanical, electrical, SW, and regulatory milestones
- Experience managing vendors, driving materials for builds, and managing development builds with manufacturers
- Experience with forecasting project budgets
- Strong presentation skills, including preparing a deck with a clear message
