Job Summary
Ness is a full lifecycle digital engineering firm seeking an HR Manager for its rapidly growing Guadalajara Center. This role involves leading the full HR agenda, partnering with local and global leadership to build a high-performing, inclusive, and innovative team. The HR Manager will be pivotal in shaping the center’s culture, supporting business growth, and ensuring seamless integration with Ness’s global HR practices, focusing on HR strategy, operations, compliance, talent development, and employee engagement.
Must Have
- Lead and develop local HR policies, processes, and programs.
- Partner with local leadership and Regional HR leader to align HR strategy with business objectives.
- Support the ramp-up of the Guadalajara center, onboarding, and capability building for new hires.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and global standards.
- Oversee local audits, policy updates, and regulatory requirements.
- Organize and deliver internal/external training, certifications, and learning plans.
- Champion employee engagement through local surveys, recognition activities, and events.
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, equity, and ESG standards.
- Address complex workplace situations, mediate conflicts, and support managers.
- Coordinate with AMER HR Lead and global teams to implement global HR initiatives.
- Prepare and present HR reports to local and global leadership.
- University degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years in HR management.
- Excellent communication (Spanish and English), organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong understanding of Mexican labor law and global HR practices.
- Proactive, decisive, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
Good to Have
- Experience in a technology or engineering environment.
- Experience with ramp-up or start-up operations.
- Experience with SAP HR/payroll systems.

Position Overview:
The HR Manager will lead the full HR agenda for our rapidly growing Guadalajara Center, partnering with local and global leadership to build a high-performing, inclusive, and innovative team. This role is pivotal in shaping the center’s culture, supporting business growth, and ensuring seamless integration with Ness’s global HR practices. The candidate must be located in Guadalajara and be able to work in a hybrid model from the Ness office.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and develop local HR policies, processes and programs, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with the local leadership and Regional HR leader to align HR strategy with business objectives and Ness’s core values: One Ness, Results Orientation, Caring Meritocracy, Problem-Solving, and Market Orientation.
- Support the ramp-up of the Guadalajara center, onboarding, capability building for new hires, and collaborating with talent acquisition.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and global standards.
- Partner with other functional teams to support payroll, benefits, and HRIS (SAP / Success Factors preferred), collaborating with external providers as needed.
- Oversee local audits, policy updates, and regulatory requirements for a growing, multi-national workforce.
Talent Development & Engagement:
- Organize and deliver internal/external training, certifications, and learning plans, leveraging Ness’s global programs and local needs.
- Champion employee engagement through local surveys, recognition activities, and events (e.g., Women’s Day, Health Days).
- Support career development, rotational programs, and leadership coaching in partnership with regional HR leadership.
Employee Relations & Inclusion:
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, equity, and ESG standards.
- Address complex workplace situations, mediate conflicts, and support managers in compensation and performance evaluations.
- Lead local initiatives for employee well-being, satisfaction, and retention.
Global HR Projects & Local Adaptation:
- Coordinate with AMER HR Lead and global teams to implement global HR initiatives, adapting them for the Mexican market.
- Support cross-border mobility, compliance, and integration of expatriate and local staff.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare and present HR reports to local and global leadership, leveraging data for strategic decision-making.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Education: University degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in HR management, preferably in a technology or engineering environment; experience with ramp-up or start-up operations is a plus.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and demonstrate Ness cultural values in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication (Spanish and English), organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical: Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP HR/payroll systems preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Mexican labor law and global HR practices.
