Job Summary

This Summer Intern Program offers an inside look into a potential career path, providing the opportunity to apply coursework in practical applications. Interns will be exposed to daily tasks and long-term strategies within their department, building valuable relationships with experts. As an HR Intern, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive experience for employees and leaders, assisting with interviews, onboarding, employee programs, documentation, and HR projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to core HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits/wellness, HR operations, and data work.

Must Have

  • Current student (Junior or Senior) pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and available to work up to 40 hours per week.

Good to Have

  • Prior internship or relevant experience is a plus.

Paid Full Time Internship (Start June 1st)

Location: Waterloo, WI

Reports To: HRBP

A Day in the Life

If you're passionate about HR, teamwork, and supporting a great workplace, this internship is a strong fit for you. As an HR Intern, you’ll play an important role in creating a smooth and positive experience for employees and leaders.

On a typical day, you may help coordinate interviews, support onboarding tasks, assist with employee programs, update documentation, or work with HR team members on projects that improve processes and communication. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to core HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations support, benefits/wellness, HR operations, and data work.

You’ll collaborate closely with leaders and HR teammates, learn how decisions are made, and contribute to a culture that values professionalism, service, and continuous improvement. This is a role where curiosity, initiative, and a people-first mindset will set you up for success.

Here’s what you’ll work on:

  • HR Coordinator Support: Assist the HR Coordinator with communications, projects, and data collection. Learn the day-to-day of how HR keeps things running smoothly.
  • HRBP Support (Retail & HQ): Support our HRBPs as they partner with leaders, hold teams accountable, and provide guidance across the business, acting as a true partner.
  • Talent Acquisition Support: Help with screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates. Get exposure to orientation and the full hiring process.
  • Benefits Support: Work with the benefits team to respond to questions and process changes, gaining insight into how we support every employee’s unique needs.
  • Payroll Support: Learn the ins and outs of payroll, including timing, accuracy, and what it takes to make sure everyone gets paid correctly.

We Are Looking For

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:

  • A Current Student: Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.) with strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • A Team Player: Able to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experienced (Preferred): Prior internship or relevant experience is a plus but not required.
  • Authorized to Work in the U.S.: Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week.
