Job Summary
The Western Digital PMO office supports all IT projects by assisting IT project managers in defining projects, creating templates, and providing support throughout the project lifecycle (budget, approval, execution, closure). The IT PMO Project Analyst will learn PMO processes, maintain project information, support artifact creation, and coordinate IT projects. Success requires understanding project lifecycles (waterfall and Agile), following instructions, working with minimal supervision, and collaborating across teams.
Must Have
- Understand the basics of project lifecycles, both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Follow instructions and work on tasks with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with various individuals and teams within IT and across other businesses.
- Learn and understand the PMO processes.
- Assist in creating templates for IT projects.
- Partner closely with the PMO to create, track and report on IT project information.
- Provide technical support to tools used by PMO solutions and processes.
- Document PMO processes and create training information for end users.
- Provide training to end users of PMO solutions and processes.
- Manage project deliverables and milestones within approved timelines and budget.
- Utilize Western Digital’s System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology.
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of approved projects.
- BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience or minimum 3 years Project Management Experience.
- Excellent business systems analysis and project management skills.
- Knowledge of the SDLC methodologies.
- Understand the Agile methodology framework and approach.
- Must possess strong documentation skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent desktop software skills – MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio.
Good to Have
- Experience with Smartsheet.
- Experience with Jira.
- Good knowledge of Jira and Scrum.

Job Description
The Western Digital PMO office provides support for all IT projects. As part of the project support, the PMO office is responsible to assist IT project managers in defining projects and creating templates to assist project managers. PMO provides support for project information during all aspects of the project lifecycle (budget, approval to spend, project execution and project closure). The IT PMO Project Analyst will be responsible to learn the PMO processes and provide support for maintaining project information and supporting the creation of project artifacts. The IT PMO Project Analyst role will also be responsible to coordinate projects within IT.
To be successful in this role, the IT PMO Project Analyst must be able to understand the basics of project lifecycles, both waterfall and Agile methodologies, follow instructions, work on tasks with minimal supervision and work collaboratively with various individuals and teams within IT and across other businesses. The IT PMO Project Analyst must be able to learn and understand the PMO processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the Project Management Office
- Assists in creating templates for IT projects
- Partners closely with the PMO to create, track and report on IT project information across functional teams
- Provide technical support to tools used by PMO solutions and processes
- Document PMO processes and create training information for end users
- Provide training to end users of PMO solutions and processes
Support Projects
- Manage project deliverables and milestones within approved timelines and budget
- Utilize Western Digital’s System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology to manage the development, customization, configuration, testing, and implementation of Business/IT systems
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of approved projects
Qualifications
- BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience or minimum 3 years Project Management Experience
- Excellent business systems analysis and project management skills
- Knowledge of the SDLC methodologies
- Understand the Agile methodology framework and approach
- Must possess strong documentation skills and can work with rapid change and fast pace
- High energy and ability to work independently in very fast growth environment
- Exceptionally collaborative, flexible and adaptable when working with customers and various teams
- Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well as team
- A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to be a team player in geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues
- Excellent desktop software skills – MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, etc

Additional Information
- Job location is mandatory onsite at Western Digital on collaboration days.
- Occasionally, employee will need to attend meetings during US work hours (early India time or India evening time).
