Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded HR Business Partner for a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) in their UK & Ireland team, starting February 1st, 2025. This role involves operating within a complex, matrix organization, supporting various client groups across Ireland. The HRBP will act as a trusted strategic partner for senior leaders, ensuring the people strategy drives high performance and business success.

Must Have

  • Act as a credible HRBP and consultant to business leaders

In this critical role, you will operate within a complex, matrix organization, supporting various client groups across Ireland (including office and home-based employees). You will be the trusted strategic partner for senior leaders, ensuring our people strategy drives high performance and business success.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: The Impact You’ll Make

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a credible HRBP and consultant to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with key business objectives across multiple client groups.
  • Organisational Design & Change: Lead and implement organisational design efforts, optimising structures and roles for efficiency. Design and drive change management strategies to facilitate operational transformation.
  • Employee Relations (ER): Provide expert guidance on complex ER matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes in a potentially unionised environment.
  • HR Cycle Ownership: Support and drive core HR planning activities, including performance management, remuneration review, recruitment planning, and owning the new hire onboarding process.
  • Compliance & Coaching: Educate and coach leaders on HR policy, process, and current employment law, ensuring daily operations are compliant and consistent.
  • Data-Driven Insight: Leverage HR metrics and analytics to inform business decisions, identify trends, and provide regular reporting to demonstrate HR's impact.

Basic Requirements

What You'll Bring (Skills & Experience)

  • Experience: Proven track record as an experienced HRBP, successfully supporting leaders at all levels and managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Business Acumen: Strong commercial and financial awareness with the ability to translate business goals into high-impact HR strategies.
  • Influence & Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build immediate credibility, challenge constructively, and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Legal Knowledge: Sound knowledge of current Irish employment law. Experience operating in a unionised environment and/or with staff councils is highly desirable.
  • Technical: Proficiency with HR systems and tools. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is required.
  • Qualifications: CIPD qualification is ideal. Degree level education is preferred.
  • Mindset: A motivated self-starter with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and a delivery-focused approach.

Please Note: This is an office-based role, requiring a willingness to travel to other MSI sites in Ireland as required.
