The Island Custodial Coordinator at Disney's private island in the Bahamas is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of guest areas. Duties include scheduling work tasks, inspecting restrooms, preparing towel provisions, cleaning kitchen areas, operating equipment (tractors, forklifts), providing taxi services, managing waste, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role requires attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to operate heavy machinery. Success in this position requires adherence to Disney's high standards and a commitment to creating a magical guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling work tasks and assignments
  • Visually inspect all Guest area restrooms prior to Guest disembarkation to island
  • Monitor and inspect Guest restrooms throughout the day
  • Initiate preparation for towel provisioning
  • Check kitchen area all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are cleaned according to island procedures
  • Properly uses and maintain equipment and cleaning materials
  • Follow all company and Bahamian sanitation requirements.
  • Perform proper procedures for driving vehicles and operation of tractor and forklift
  • Provide Island taxi services.
  • Collect, sanitize, and clean all Guest water coolers, change garbage bins and replenish cone cups of all water stations.
  • Operate and clean all waste related equipment and facilities
  • Assist with the receipt, processing, storage and disposal of all general recyclable and hazardous waste.
  • Is familiar with and complies with the Island’s SMS, including the safety and environmental policy.
  • Become familiar with all safety and technical equipment used in the waste management facility.
  • Promote the Island’s waste management and environmental programs.
  • Inspect entire island for show readiness
  • Maintains equipment, upkeep, supply lockers and inventory
  • Additional duties and tasks designated by leadership, when necessary

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma Preferred
  • Pervious cleaning experience
  • Detailed Oriented
  • Flexible Scheduling
  • Able to lift or bend
  • Able to drive small vehicles and operate heavy machinery ( Tractor / Forklift )

Additional Information:

This role is based on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.

  • Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in areas and operations under their control

  • Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations
  • Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally
  • Legally authorized to work in The Bahamas
Your Responsibilities:
  • Obtain a criminal background check
  • Bring approved work shoes

**Disney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace. All new hires are required to undergo drug/alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass the drug/alcohol testing will result in immediate termination.
