Job Summary

This role requires expert technical knowledge in software test automation, with hands-on experience in testing tools. The Lead Software Test Automation Engineer will work under moderate guidance, writing automation scripts using existing frameworks, performing execution and debugging, and updating tests based on new requirements. The role involves designing and implementing automation frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities also include code reviews, performance testing, monitoring automation efforts, and providing technical mentorship.

Must Have

  • The candidate should be able to independently do Automation.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for automation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, etc, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and frameworks.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing automation processes and tools.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Develop and execute performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of automation efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in automation processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track automation metrics and KPIs.
  • Advocate for automation best practices and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Requires expert technical knowledge of theories, principles and concepts within software test automation. and is hands on with testing tools. Works under a moderate level of guidance and direction. Is able to write automation scripts using existing framework/tools and performs structured work assignments. Applies general knowledge of business and industry through education or experience. Responsible for output in the area of testing to appropriate time and quality targets and needs to follow agile scrum processes as specified by the team. Plans and prioritizes own work and meets agreed timescales.

Experience : 10-14 yrs.
