Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician at APM Terminals, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of our machinery and equipment. This varied role involves working with colleagues to ensure daily operations run smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, and work with PLC control systems (Siemens and ABB). The role includes shift work on a rolling schedule, covering days, evenings, and weekends.

Must Have

  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure stable, reliable equipment operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Work with PLC control systems (Siemens and ABB).
  • Identify, analyze, and rectify faults in motors, electrical systems, and control components.
  • Manage downtime and contribute to efficient operational recovery.
  • Experience with heavy vehicles (e.g., truck workshops, field service, large machinery).
  • Technical competence in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Good to Have

  • Interest in developing within PLC control systems (Siemens/ABB).
  • Actively contribute to improvement work and share ideas for process development.

What does a Technician do with us?

As a Technician, you contribute to ensuring that our machinery and equipment operate safely and reliably. The role involves varied work where you, together with colleagues, ensure that operations run smoothly every day.

The role involves shift work according to a rolling schedule with shifts during the day, evenings, and weekends.

As a Technician, you are responsible for:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and ensuring that equipment functions in a stable and reliable manner.
  • Performing troubleshooting and repairs in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
  • Working with PLC control systems (Siemens and ABB) and supporting the development of our processes.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and rectifying faults in motors, electrical systems, and control components.
  • Managing downtime and contributing to operations returning to normal safely and efficiently.

We are looking for you who:

  • Have experience with heavy vehicles, for example, truck workshops, field service, or work with larger machines.
  • Have technical competence in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, and troubleshooting.
  • Have an understanding of, or interest in developing within, PLC control systems (Siemens/ABB).
  • Actively contribute to improvement work and share ideas that can develop working methods and processes.
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
